Thank you, Dan Robles, for the opportunity to lead Coolant and Metalworking Fluids training today at Champions Machine (Haas Factory Outlet) in Spring, Texas.

In today’s class, we covered the Seven Points of Success for maintaining healthy coolant systems. We discussed proper mixing techniques, best practices for ongoing maintenance, and cleared up several common misconceptions. The group asked great questions, and we were able to walk through real examples in the shop that showed how well high-quality products perform when they’re installed and maintained correctly.

The ACE Program that Dan leads is an outstanding training platform built for today’s demanding manufacturing environment. We at Bl**er Swisslube are proud to support this program and help educate the next generation of machinists and manufacturing professionals.

Investing in the Next Generation of Texas Manufacturing

Today, I had the opportunity to represent Bl**er Swisslube with a coolant presentation at Texas A&M University, speaking in front of high school and college educators from across the state who are dedicated to advancing manufacturing education.

This event, sponsored by the Gene Haas Foundation, brought together industry partners and educators to share technical knowledge, resources, and insights that will help strengthen manufacturing programs across Texas.

Bl**er had a strong presence, and our presentation sparked great discussion and engagement. We received many thoughtful questions and several requests for continued support — a clear sign that educators are eager to bring real-world industry partnerships into their classrooms.

Thank you to Ellison Technologies for hosting such a fantastic open house today.

It was great catching up with customers and connecting with new prospects. Every machine on the showroom floor was running Bl**er MC 660, and the feedback was outstanding. The Ellison team was impressed with the product’s clean appearance in their machines, the excellent surface finishes on customer parts, and the overall performance it delivered.

Ellison did an exceptional job demonstrating the strength of their technology, and I’m proud to have Bl**er be part of that success. Having strong partners in the Houston market who value quality and innovation makes all the difference.

I look forward to collaborating on future projects, shows, and open houses together. Great job, Ellison team!

A big thank you to Champions Machine Tool Sales (HAAS Factory Outlet) in Spring, Texas for once again giving me the opportunity to teach in their ACE program this morning.

While it was a smaller class, we had some great discussions on the importance of METAL WORKING fluid in the manufacturing process. We focused on:
• Maintaining proper concentration in the sump
• The value Bl**er brings with extended sump life and clean machines
• Why coolant cleanliness is often overlooked but plays a critical role in performance

Today’s class walked away knowing how to:
• Use and read a refractometer
• Properly measure concentration
• Build healthy habits for maintaining great METAL WORKING fluid

Once again, we had a very successful training session at Haas Factory Outlet - Champions Machine Tool Sales in Spring, Texas!

Champions offers two free ACE Training classes each month, open to the public. Their mission? To reignite a passion for American manufacturing—empowering people to create, build, and return our industry to greatness.

Daniel Robles leads the program in Houston, and I’ve had the privilege of being a recurring guest speaker. With 30 years in Houston’s oil & gas manufacturing industry and 15 years as an instructor at Lone Star College, I always enjoy sharing what I’ve learned—especially when it comes to metalworking fluids in today’s demanding manufacturing environment.

Today’s class covered proper coolant maintenance, how to correctly fill and care for your machines, and how this plays a vital role in machine performance and shop safety.

Today, I had the pleasure of talking with students about how to choose the right metalworking fluid, as well as how to properly mix and maintain it. In today’s demanding manufacturing environment, selecting the correct cutting fluid is critical—not only for reducing cycle times and increasing production, but also for ensuring your machines run at their best and your personnel stay healthy and safe.
