It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Mike Sendor, former owner and longtime leader of Nussbaumer & Clarke, Inc., on October 29, 2026.

Mike was an important part of our company’s history, particularly within our Survey Department, where his knowledge, leadership, and dedication made a lasting impact.

Known for his larger-than-life personality, quick wit, and memorable presence, Mike was more than a colleague and business leader. He was a friend to many and someone who left a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

We are grateful for Mike’s many years of service, his contributions to our company’s success, and the friendships he built along the way.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to Mike’s family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. He will be greatly missed by the entire Nussbaumer & Clarke family.

🏈 Heading to a Bills game at the new Highmark Stadium? Be sure to keep an eye out for “BILLS WIN!”

We’re proud that Nussbaumer’s Structural Engineering team had the opportunity to assist SOS Creative, LLC and artist Shasti O’Leary-Soudant with the BILLS WIN! public art installation at Highmark Stadium. Our team provided structural engineering services for the support members that help bring this unique piece to life.

DYK…there’s more to the artwork than meets the eye! Each strand represents a season in Buffalo Bills history, with the number of footballs representing the Bills’ total wins that season and the colors representing the teams they defeated.

It’s a creative celebration of Bills history—and a project we’re excited to have played a small part in.

Next time you’re at Highmark Stadium, be sure to look for BILLS WIN! and see how many seasons you recognize!

🥾 Another adventure for the Nussbaumer Hiking Club!

Earlier this month, members of our team hit the trails at Chestnut Ridge Park in Orchard Park, making their way to one of Western New York’s most unique natural attractions—the Eternal Flame. 🔥

Tucked behind a (water level dependent) waterfall in the park’s Shale Creek Preserve, the Eternal Flame is a naturally occurring flame fueled by natural gas seeping through the rock.

It was a great outing and another opportunity for our team to enjoy some time together outside the office while exploring one of WNY’s local treasures!

We're excited to welcome Matthew Rosenberg, a senior at Lockport High School, to Nussbaumer as part of the school's Career Pathways Academy Program!

Matthew has a strong interest in engineering and is currently applying to both the U.S. Naval Academy and U.S. Air Force Academy. Through this exploratory internship, he'll have the opportunity to gain firsthand experience with real-world engineering projects and municipal infrastructure.

During his time with us, Matthew will learn about the City of Lockport's Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) system, tour the City's wastewater treatment plant and compost facility, and develop process flow diagrams to illustrate how these facilities operate.

At Nussbaumer, we understand the importance of introducing young people to the engineering profession and providing opportunities to explore potential career paths. We're proud to support programs like Lockport High School's Career Pathways Academy that connect classroom learning with hands-on professional experiences.
