🚧Project Update: Maple Road Water Main Replacement at Sweet Home Road

Nussbaumer is proud to support the Town of Amherst with engineering design and construction phase services for this critical water infrastructure improvement project.

The project involved the replacement of an abandoned and deteriorated section of water main within a heavily travelled intersection in order to restore a critical system connection, improve overall reliability, and enhance water service for the surrounding area.

We're excited to see construction of another project that helps strengthen critical community infrastructure nearing completion.

Dan is a recent graduate of University at Buffalo and will be a Construction Observer 1 out of our Buffalo headquarters. Prior to joining Nussbaumer, his work experience included construction and environmental tasks, including site prep, material handling, and assisting skilled trades while maintaining safety protocols.

Nussbaumer was proud to sponsor the Soap Box Derby in Lockport on Saturday! 🏁

Representing our team at the event were Mike Marino and Amanda McNamara, who joined the community in celebrating a tradition that hadn't been seen in Lockport since the 1960s.

Congratulations to the winners who are heading to the All-American Soap Box Derby in Akron, OH next month! It was great to see so many young racers and volunteers come together for a day of competition, sportsmanship, and community pride.

Kudos to all the organizers and volunteers who made this event happen!

Project Update:
The Village of Depew DPW Emergency Generator Replacement and Electrical Upgrades project is making great progress and remains on track for completion by July. Nussbaumer designed the upgrade, which includes a new 60-kW emergency generator, electrical system improvements, and enhanced backup power capabilities to keep critical DPW operations running during outages. This investment will strengthen the Village’s emergency response readiness and improve the resilience of this essential municipal facility.

We’re proud of our CEO, Mike Marino, who has participated in every single 11-Day Power Play since its founding and will skate again for this year's event June 17 - 28th. 💙🥅

Mike will play Goalie for the WNY Media All Stars (teaming up with his sons), Roux Environmental Engineering & Geology, and the 97 Rock Team.

This event brings together thousands of players and over the years has raised over $13 million for cancer research and patient support — proving that when WNY shows up, it shows up big. 🙌

Last month at the New York Section American Water Works Association (NYSAWWA) New York's Water Event in Saratoga Springs, members of the CHQ KIDS CARE interviewed attendees about their work related to water, including our very own Mike Marino!

CHQ KIDS CARE is an impressive student created and student led organization dedicated to education, problem-solving, and environmental stewardship.

The Nussbaumer team was proud to join City of North Tonawanda officials, community members, and project partners last week for the groundbreaking ceremony of the new Payne Park Aquatic Facility — an exciting investment in recreation, community wellness, and quality of life for the community.

Nussbaumer was honored to serve as a subconsultant to Brandstetter Carroll during design of this project and are glad to continue our involvement through recently awarded Construction Inspection services.

The new aquatic complex will feature two Pools, 💦 Splash Pads, Water Slides, New Locker Rooms, and Concession facilities.

Construction is anticipated to be completed in 2027 and we look forward to supporting the City to bring this exciting community asset to life!
