We were treated to a spectacular sunset in Austin this past Saturday (5/30) during our anniversary celebration. We captured some beautiful photos right here on the Ion Art campus, featuring a phenomenal, fiery sky and a lovely rainbow over our sign. 🌅

Commissioned neon for a residential bar. Our team bent and installed custom cursive neon in mercury rose and violet pink. 🎨

The featured quote, “just a touch of pink,” pays homage to the owners’ grandmothers. These “spitfire” women were known for having specific preferences for their cocktails 🍸—most notably, a cranberry and vodka recipe that required only a touch of pink. 🩷💜

All roads lead to the Paramount! We had a marvelous time celebrating the Paramount Theatre’s 111th anniversary featuring . Our  neon art installations—including the Surreal Buffalo, White Cloud, Event Horizon, Layla the Coyote, Owls on Cactus, Route 66, and Full Moon—illuminated Congress Avenue for the event.

This year’s “70s Road Trip” theme paid homage to the journeys that bring us together. We embraced vintage-inspired looks to honor an era defined by freedom and the belief that the journey is the best part of the experience.

It was a pleasure enjoying the diner-inspired cuisine curated by Chef Michael Fojtasek and dancing to hits from Love and Happiness.

These photos, taken in the late 1990s, show servicing the Marriott channel letters. At 26 years old, he took the job without realizing the sign was on top of an 11-story building.

Never having worked at such a height on the side of a building, Greg received a brief 15-minute lesson from a window washer acquaintance before they both harnessed up and climbed onto the exterior from a window. A professional photographer friend was on-site to document the process.

The building, located at 701 E 11th St, later became a Sheraton and has since been rebranded as the Downright Austin Renaissance Hotel.

This yellow-gold logo sign is approximately 12’ tall and 46’ wide, featuring rare quadruple neon strokes. ⚡️ The open-faced neon letter sections are mounted to a custom steel frame that stands nearly 20’ tall. 🪜 The neon letters and structure are installed atop Paseo, a 48-story, 567-foot mixed-use tower in Downtown Austin’s Rainey Street District. 🏙️

Developed by , this building features exclusive amenities and a rooftop pool on the 48th floor. Look for the bright gold roof sign while driving down South 1st, South Congress, South Lamar, and beyond.

Ion Art contributed design, production-ready art, CNC services, fabrication, paint, and installation assistance for several of Jupiter Supper Club’s custom interior features. The most notable undertaking was the one-of-a-kind Clock Wall ✨ located behind the Main Bar. The Atrium showcases custom soffits, planters, and unique brake-formed column wraps. Additionally, precision-planned brass and stainless steel accents can be seen throughout the Library Lounge, Music Room, and Kitchen.

It was a pleasure to collaborate with Howdy Built. We appreciated the opportunity and certainly learned a great deal from Daniel during the process.

We are excited to share our recent work for TzinTzunTzan - Desayuno y Loncheria, a new space 🍽️ rooted in tradition and community. As the sister restaurant of, fondasanmigueltx, tzintzuntzan brings that same hospitality into an everyday dining experience.

We approached the hand-painted hummingbird logo with the care and attention we bring to all our projects. It was a pleasure to contribute to the branding of another Austin local.
