Our Chapter
We strive to promote sustainability in our university community in two ways mainly: non-technical events and technical projects. Our members, engineers and non-engineers, characterize themselves by being an active group of action makers. ESW members are empowered to participate in technical projects at any given time, like our campus-wide recycling program or the installation of a 230 watt solar panel for a high school. We regularly attend and attend various events around campus, like the SEC E-Waste Drive. We strive to provide any student with a framework to pursue their sustainable goals, while being part of a dedicated and life changing team!

A world in which engineering fosters environmental, social, and economic sustainability to improve both the quality of life and the condition of our planet. Freshmen!!!!

Are you looking for a fun opportunity to get more involved in ESW and gain leadership experience? Consider running for the Sustainable World Freshman Team (SWFT)! Positions are open to ALL freshmen in ESW. Fill out the form in the linktree to let us know you’re interested and attach a slide about yourself and your qualifications by Monday, November 2nd at 11:59 PM.

All candidates will present their slides at the next GM (11/5). Voting will open during the GM and close the next day. Winners will be contacted 1-2 days after.

Position Descriptions:
President: Oversees SWFT and ensures team is functioning smoothly
Event Chair: Plans logistics for events
Treasurer: Manages budget for events, works
Secretary: Advertises events and takes notes during meetings

Boo!!! 🎃🎃

Are you ready to get into the October spirit? Have yet to visit one of Austin’s iconic spots?? Join us on our walk along Lady Bird Lake Trail, where will trek onwards to the bat bridge to see if we can catch a glimpse of any bats for spooky season!

Meet us at the Southbound UT West Mall bus station (outside of the Co-op) by 6pm. We will bus down, walk, see the bat bridge, then bus back all together. The bus is free with your student ID, so make sure to bring it!!

No sign up needed, just come join us!
