Thankful for clients who give us opportunities to explore new territory and navigate some tough terrain. We took a break from Pontotoc County and ventured down into the Kiamichi Wilderness in Pushmataha County today, also congratulations to my surveyor in training who has been with us for a little over a year!

Well March hasn’t been very nice this year, unexpected equipment failures can seem like a giant wrench thrown into your plans. Thanks to iGage Mapping Corporation, I was able to upgrade to brand new equipment. So with all that said, we are back in full operation after being down for a week waiting on new equipment to arrive. We appreciate your support and patience as we navigate this unexpected delay.

We are working on a streamlining process that will allow for a better scheduling system. In doing so, we will no longer be able to accept phone calls or text messages as a means for job scheduling. The client will need to send an email to [email protected]

The reason for this is when we are out in the field, we do not have access to our calendars and are therefore unable to give you accurate information over the phone/text. Once you send an email, someone will be in contact with you within 72 business hours.

Please note we will now be requiring a signed contract as well as a $500 retainer fee (that will come off of your total) at the time of booking. This will need to be done before we will be able to schedule your job. Remainder of balance is due on completion of the job and no paperwork will be released until payment is rendered. This is all in an effort to keep our jobs flowing, our clients happy, and our doors open. Thank you for understanding. Also, we are unable to take on any new jobs until September 20th, 2024. Thank you all for keeping us so busy!

Communication has been a struggle in this first year of business. I appreciate everyone who has recommended us, and we apologize for the jobs we were unable to complete in a timely manner. We understand the stress and frustrations this plays in all transactions involving real estate.

As an effort to be transparent as we continue to grow, these changes will be made effective immediately. Communication will be handled through email to keep everything in one place at this time. The owner will contact you directly by phone with any additional questions pertaining to the project.

Once again, thank you for the support and understanding as we are working to get our project list in control and creating a system that allows for less stress on your end and ours.

Our office will be closed from May 29th-June 6th for vacation. For any questions, please email [email protected]

Thank you!

Hello everyone, a little update for future projects. Due to some equipment issues and an unexpected injury in March, it has placed me behind on several projects. Because of this, I am maxed out on my current job list and unable to take on any new jobs after today until the week of June 28th to allow myself some time to free up my schedule and not delay any future transactions. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate the overwhelming amount of support and work I have been blessed with this year. Thank you for understanding!

From the middle of town to a jungle with cane and briars so thick you can’t see further than 5 feet, I will tackle it all. Pretty views from Johnston County, Oklahoma this week. Also shout out to Truelove's Signatures for creating awesome new business decals.

This job made me think of something my dad shared with me when we worked together. “Only two types of people travel off back into woods like this, c**n hunters because they can’t see where they are going in the dark and land surveyors because we don’t have a choice”

I would like to take this time as 2024 begins to personally thank each and every person that has reached out, shared my name, and trusted me with their land surveying services. The beginning of 2024 has already been an overwhelming blessing of support, and I couldn’t be more happy to see where this year takes me as an individual and business owner. At this time I am working as fast and hard as possible to get everyone’s projects taken care of, however if I am not able to help you or meet your timeline, please don’t hesitate to call, email, or text me. I have a list of referrals to other surveying companies to continue to try and expedite the process for everyone to the best of my abilities. Once again, thank you and I hope you all stay safe with the weather moving in! Happy New Year!

It is rare to find these original government stones, many have been destroyed because not many people knew what they were. I happened to have the opportunity to observe two in a row on this particular job. These were set by the BLM U.S. Surveyors in the late 1800’s. They did a very good job of documenting this in their field notes on the attached images. This is the foundation of what us present day surveyors begin with on every job. If you ever come across a strange rock with a fraction, notches or words, protect it to the best of your abilities because they are the original boundary markers of sections. I am often asked “well how could they have been accurate given the methods they used” these two particular stones I observed measured 2641.36’ utilizing modern day technology. The surveyors in 1897 showed the distance between the same two stones I measured to be 2641.98’. These original surveyors were dragging chains and using lunar and solar observations to determine a bearing. We often use the term “following in the footsteps of the previous surveyors” in this profession. It is one thing I love about this career, I know that I was following the exact path of the original surveys on this job because these monuments are still existing. Also, note the surveyors name listed on the field notes, H.S. Hackbusch. If you know many surveyors, you have heard us talk about swinging a machete and fighting briars and overgrown jungles, so his name fits perfect with his job title.

Some more great views from the outdoor office, and complicated corner locations. Just a surveyor and his high tech walking stick! You can’t tell from the photos, but that cliff was 75-100’ high overlooking the creek bottom. Embracing that “Back Forty” life on this 72 acre boundary survey.
