Handling the heaviest of loads - over the decades.

Great to see the Smith Crane & Construction Ltd's 2013 Volvo FH16 700 featured by New Zealand Trucking magazine, while en route from Ōtaki to the Port of Auckland driven by John Tavendale. Towing a 400-tonne crawler crane almost the length of the North Island easily demonstrates the quality and reliability of Volvo for heavy assignments, representing great value and return on investment.

New Volvo Trucks showroom and service centre officially opens in Hamilton.

Sime Motors has officially opened a new Truckstops truck service centre and Volvo showroom at the Ruakura Superhub in Hamilton, strengthening its national network to support heavy transport operators.

The new Hamilton facility is three times larger than the former Quentin Drive site and includes additional service bays and COF lanes to increase capacity and improve turnaround times. It's only 600 metres from State Highway 1, making it easier to get trucks in and back on the road.

The official opening included a formal karakia blessing led by mana whenua and was attended industry leaders and VIPs including Volvo Group Australia President Martin Merrick and Sime Darby Berhad Group Chief Executive Officer ‘Dato Jeffri Davidson. Special thanks to Tainui Group Holdings.

From Auckland to Whakatane this new Volvo FM13 540 8X4R rig with a Fairfax 5-axle refrigerated trailer unit can be seen on the highways with its stand-out Meadow Fresh graphics, covering an impressive 600km per day.

Double shifted with drivers, Pauli and Cliff, this Volvo FM is a safe and comfortable ride, with driver support systems, Volvo Dynamic Steering and the perfect gear changes that come with Volvo I-Shift.

This unit was handed over by Volvo Account Manager for Central North Island, Mark Ellerington, to owners Callan and Melissa Hose, who have been operating for 12 years, running a metro fleet of eight. This flexible heavy-duty Volvo truck is their first line haul unit. Thank you for choosing Volvo Trucks!

What a golden event the Kamo Touch A Truck was!

The Golden Bay team turned out in force as one of the sponsors of the day and displaying their Volvo line-up. Neville's rig took home the Best Volvo award 🥇

It was a great day, bringing together the Northland transport industry with the local community, while raising funds for the Kamo and Ngunguru volunteer fire brigades.

More heavy-duty, high-horsepower Volvo units are powering productivity across the highways and roads of the North Island.

New Volvo FH16 780 8x4 Rigid units with Globetrotter cabs have joined the nationwide linehaul fleet for NZ Post and Courier Post, operated by C Johnson Carrying Company out of Taupo.

In each of the four new units, the powerful Euro 6 D17 780hp engine provides up to 3800 Nm of torque and more engine braking power at low engine speeds. I-Shift automated 12-speed gearbox with overdrive, EBS and disc brakes on all axles and a full suite of safety features are among the reasons that ower-operator, Craig, chooses the high-spec Volvo truck.

Built by Fruehauf the first two units have been handed over by David Fryer, Volvo Account Manager Lower North Island, and can already be seen out on the delivery runs across the region.
