Parts Assistant required...

Due to continued expansion, we are on the lookout for a Parts Assistant to start in our Parts Dept as soon as is possible. You will be working with a skilled and highly motivated team to make sure that we have the parts in stock and available when they are needed.

You will be responsible for ordering day to day stock, making sure that it is kept up to the level required, as well as other items as and when required. A good knowledge of items used in General Engineering would be of benefit, but all stock is recorded on our comprehensive computer system, so there is a large element of repeat ordering, however there would be a requirement to price check periodically to stay in line with our ISO9001 requirements. You would also be responsible for checking off incoming orders, and picking outgoing orders and organising delivery of these.

Hours of work can be negotiated, however we would like someone to be able to work 40 hours per week if possible. The hourly rate will reflect the skill of the applicant. Full training will be provided.

If this position sounds like a bit of you, then please feel free to send a Cover Letter and / or C.V to [email protected]

If you require any further information please feel free to contact me on the above email address or call me on 027-2900-668.

Regards
Richie

It was an absolute privilege to be able to drop a whole Ute load full of goodies to the children's team at the P.Nth Women's Refuge...

A massive thank you to Tracgrip Hydraulics & Equipment Ltd and Roadmarking services for their HUGE donation to our childrens team at the refuge. It’s so exciting and humbling to have such amazing community support to our refuge. ❤️

As we all know we are into the coldest months of the year and there is a real issue out there that seems to be being ignored and that is that there are lots of children in the Manawatu region and indeed around New Zealand, that for one reason or another, don’t have the appropriate Winter clothing, we are talking from Winter Pyjamas / dressing gowns so that they have some chance of staying warm at night, through to the basics of warm socks, hats, jackets, shoes etc... so that they are warm when they are heading off to school in the morning. We are expecting these kids to head to school to learn and how can they when they are often wet and freezing cold... learning is the last thing on their minds.

We talk a lot about Mental Health in this country, but so often mental health issues later in life are because of bad life events experienced when we are young, so how much of a chance are we giving some of our children when they can’t even go to bed or school warm enough...

We have been a long-time supporter of the Palmerston North Women’s Refuge, so we have set up a Give-a-little page titled “Palmy Children in Need” where we are hoping to raise $20,000, and to kick it off Tracgrip Hydraulics and Equipment and Roadmarking Services have donated $2,500 each... All of the money raised will be spent locally in the Manawatu Region to buy the necessary Winter clothing that we know the Palmerston North Women’s Refuge need. So please donate to this worthwhile cause so that we can give our children the future they deserve... Every donation made will go into a draw to win a special prize kindly donated by Tracgrip Hydraulics & Equipment...

Palmy businesses giving back to our kids in need.

Founded in 1951 the privately owned Tracgrip Hydraulics & Equipment Ltd based in the Manawatu city of Palmerston North is a prominent New Zealand hydraulics and engineering company with total design, engineering and product supply capability.

Tracgrip is a name found on industrial machinery and hydraulic systems throughout New Zealand in heavy engineering, general manufacturing and specialised industries including telecommunications, plastics, timber processing, fishing and food processing.

During the early years the “Tracgrip” name was synonymous with light earthmoving machinery when the company manufactured backhoes and loaders to fit Ford and Massey Ferguson tractors. During the following years the hydraulics service side of the company was formed.

Today the company is a strong leader in its field of engineering and hydraulics with a 4000 square meters of workshop space, dedicated areas for hydraulic service, fabrication, machining, and engineering assembly, which allow the company to carry out large engineering contracts.

During the last 16-17 years Tracgrip has accumulated extensive experience in producing Hi-Railed vehicles and excavators for KiwiRail and many of its contractors. Over this time Tracgrip have produced over 400 vehicles and 60 excavators.

The Hi-Rail vehicles produced by Tracgrip are engineered to meet the requirements of our customers and meet regulations imposed on the Rail industry under Code OM9004. All design-work is carried out by our own staff using the latest in 3D CAD software and verified by Certifying Mechanical Engineers.

A solid organizational structure has key people in management, engineering workshop, truck / trailer assembly, hydraulic service, purchasing and parts. With Tracgrip in a good financial position, a consistent supply of goods and services allows for uninterrupted production and workflow.

The Company’s Design Team offers the benefit of 50 years of involvement in the Industry for Hydraulic Circuits, Mechanical Engineering, Prototype Development, Low Maintenance Hydraulic Power Packs, and Electro-Hydraulic Proportional and Servo controlled systems.
