1. The moment we meet again long-term customers and partners, who now we consider friends, and learn about the new developments in their personal and professional life, and
2. The moment a first formal handshake introduction to a stranger turns into the exciting realization that you finally meet the actual person that you have exchanged so many emails and calls till then.

Visitors to our stand 2.111 of Posidonia 2026 exhibition will have the opportunity to see a cartridge group of MET 53MA turbocharger.
More information is also available for its successor MET-MB series as well as the latest MET-MBII series offering more compact design, broad engine compatibility including dual-fuel engines, significantly higher pressure ratios, improved aerodynamic efficiency and increased air flow volume while maintaining the high standards of high reliability and easy and simplified maintenance.

Today is the first day of Posidonia 2026 exhibition, officially opening its doors at 18:00 for the opening ceremony. The opening hours for the rest days are 10.30 to 19:00.

Back to Lincoln, UK at Napier HQ for three of our technicians to attend the latest 2026 training course for 7,8 and NT1 series of Napier turbochargers.
The course included all the latest service bulletins of Napier, field practice of dismantling / re-assembly, FAQs section and the opportunity for our technicians to ask any question from their own experience working with Napier turbochargers.
We are grateful to Napier for their hospitality and sharing their valuable know-how with us.

In 2022, ABB turbocharging shocked the marine engineering industry revealing the news of its re-branding as Accelleron (

In June this year, another major turbocharger manufacturer, MAN Energy Solutions, took the decision to change its name to Everllence (https://www.facebook.com/share/v/19sk8LsozN/).

On the other hand, this year MET turbocharger celebrates its 60th anniversary since the launch of the “Original MET” type in 1965. As a result, MET turbocharger is currently the only one out of the three mainstream designers and makers of marine turbochargers which has kept its original name since its establishment within the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) group, with no intention of following the trend of re-branding.
We agree totally with our Japanese fellows: what is the point of re-branding a success story after working so hard for decades to establish a reputation of a quality and reliable brand?

This year MET turbocharger celebrates its 60th anniversary since the launch of the “Original MET” type in 1965. Almost ten years later, in 1976, “MET-S” range was introduced and several design variations followed till early 2000s (MET SA/SB/SC/SR/SD/SE/SEII/SRII/SRC). Finally, since 2004, the latest “MET MA, MB and MBII” models gradually entered the market (https://www.mhi.com/products/ship/metturbocharger_history.html).
After 60 continuous years of reliable and efficient turbocharging, we are confident that many more decades of success will follow for the MET brand with the launch of new models.

Last week was a very special week for us. On the 16th of October, it was our great honor to welcome to our office for the first time Mr. Katsuhide Matsunaga, President and CEO of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Marine Machinery and Equipment (MHI – MME), together with other senior executives.
The next day, on the 17th of October, we attended the Japan Maritime event organized by Japan Ship Machinery & Equipment Association (JSMEA), where Mr. Atsuo Kusakabe of MHI-MME gave a presentation about the Greenhouse Gas reduction solutions available through their marine machinery products range, including MET Turbochargers. We are deeply grateful for their kind invitation and hospitality during the seminar.
