Due to increased workload, Simpson Race Exhausts are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Fabricator Welder to grow our close team based in Slough Berkshire.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motorsport enthusiast to join our business that has been providing a range of bespoke race exhaust systems and components to the motorsport industry both in the UK and around the world for 23 years.
Duties:
Production of a variety of parts to an extremely high standard and in line with the specifications of customers and / or the business.
You will need to Review drawings, cut lists and job cards before starting work on a fabrication process and during the steps to ensure accurate completion.
You will be using a variety of equipment including band saws, grinding wheels, fly presses, swagers, bending, cutting etc to produce components and assemblies making sure that all parts are properly fitted, aligned and assembled correctly.
Experience of working with stainless steel, welding and using machinery would be ideal. But training will be provided on site.
You will need to be able to work under pressure, on a tight schedule and keep focused throughout the day, to be able to meet deadlines.
You will need the ability to work on your own or as part of our team, as the work can be varied. It Is essential that you are very punctual, good with time keeping, enthusiastic but can also have a laugh within the workplace with your colleagues.
We expect you to keep your working area clean and tidy and clear of all obstructions and hazards to allow you and your colleagues to maintain an efficient working environment.
This is a permanent, UK-based role which includes a competitive salary, flexible overtime arrangements and excellent working conditions as well as holiday pay after probationary period.
Working hours are as follows.
Monday-Friday 7.00am -4.45pm option of Saturday morning overtime
