Next week, our Managing Director, Rhys Morton, will be taking on an incredible charity challenge in support of Children's Hospice South West.

Over Thursday and Friday, Rhys will be cycling 160 miles from Tenby to Bristol Airport, covering approximately 80 miles each day, before finishing at Bristol Airport on Friday.

The challenge is particularly special for us as we are currently carrying out work at the airport, making it a fitting place for Rhys to complete the final leg of his journey.

We’re incredibly proud to support Rhys as he takes on this challenge and helps raise funds for such an important cause. Children’s Hospice South West provides vital care and support to children with life-limiting conditions and their families, making the work they do truly invaluable.

We’ll be following Rhys’ journey throughout the three days and sharing updates along the way. Good luck, Rhys!

We are proud to recognise two of our Electrical Engineers, Jack Moore and Charlie Cox, who recently received a Safety Award at Bristol Airport.

The award was presented by Dan Trott, one of our Site Managers, and Mike Parry, our Operations Director, in recognition of Jack and Charlie’s outstanding attitude towards health and safety, alongside the high quality of their work.

Working within a live airport environment presents unique challenges, making their commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality and professionalism even more commendable.

A huge congratulations to Jack and Charlie on this well-deserved recognition. Their hard work, positive attitude and dedication to doing things the right way are a fantastic reflection of the standards we strive for at Whitehead Building Services. Well done both!

We are proud to celebrate one of our electrical apprentices, Alex Richards, who recently received his SHEQ Award from Anthony Matthews, one of our Electrical Engineers.

Alex was selected for the award by our Electrical Site Manager, Ian Buttle, in recognition of the great initiative and work ethic he has demonstrated over the past couple of months, as well as the significant improvement he has made in his day-to-day installations.

It is fantastic to see Alex’s hard work and commitment being recognised, and we are delighted to see his continued development throughout his apprenticeship. Well done, Alex keep up the great work! 👏

Today, we are incredibly proud to announce that our 2026 Charity Golf Day at Cardiff Golf Club, in aid of Tŷ Hafan Children's Hospice, raised an amazing £13,000!

This fantastic total would not have been possible without the incredible support of our supply chain, clients, colleagues and the 45 teams who took part on the day. Whether you sponsored the event, donated money or prizes, played in the tournament or volunteered to help, your generosity and support have made a real difference, and we are truly grateful.

We are honoured to organise events like these to raise funds for such a deserving charity. Tŷ Hafan provides specialist care and support to children with life-shortening conditions and their families, helping them make the most of every moment together through respite care, emotional support, and end-of-life care.

Supporting our local communities is something we are truly passionate about and seeing so many people come together for such an important cause makes all the hard work worthwhile.

And we’re already looking ahead to 2027! We’re delighted to announce that our Charity Golf Day will return on Friday 25th June 2027.

Thank you once again to everyone who contributed to making this year’s event such a success. We look forward to seeing you all again in 2027!

We are proud to announce that our charity darts tournament, held back in May at Flight Club Cardiff, raised a whopping £6,500 for Llamau!

A huge thank you to Lloyds Bank, for their generous contribution and support and to Barbara Redmore, our contact at Llamau, who helps make events like this possible.

We’d also like to thank everyone who took part, donated, supported the event and helped make it such a fantastic day. Your generosity and enthusiasm made a real difference and we’re incredibly proud to have raised such an amazing amount for a fantastic cause.

We can’t wait to see what we can achieve together at our next event! 🙌
