Today, we received some positive feedback from our clients - Network Plus & Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water regarding the way our operatives demonstrated quick thinking at a customers house during an unfortunate event. We received the following...

"Just wanted to highlight the below to everyone.

While attending a job to renew a boundary box on a private road, the gang (Julian Smith) demonstrated excellent customer care and professionalism. As per routine of closing a job down they went into the customer’s garden and knocked on the door to ask the lady to open her cold water kitchen tap before the service was recharged.

A short time later, the customer came outside into the garden and unfortunately slipped and fell down the steps. The gang reacted immediately and calmly. They helped the elderly customer to a seated position, provided a clean towel, and asked her to apply pressure to the wound to control the bleeding.

Emergency services were contacted straight away by calling 999, and the gang always stayed with the customer, offering reassurance and support until the ambulance arrived and took over.

This incident highlighted the gang’s quick thinking, compassion, and commitment to customer safety, showing that they are willing to go the extra mile."

This kind of recognition will not go un-noticed, the team will receive a diolch award for their fast acting customer service.

Over the last few days, the team at KM Group has been working around the clock to repair and rectify a number of burst water mains.

With rapid fluctuations in temperature, underground utilities have been placed under increased stress, leading to unexpected failures across the network. Our crews responded quickly and safely, minimising disruption and restoring services as efficiently as possible.

A big credit to our operatives for their professionalism, resilience, and commitment in challenging conditions, and thank you to our clients and local communities for their patience while these essential repairs were carried out.

This is a strong reminder of how changing weather patterns can impact critical infrastructure—and the importance of having experienced teams ready to respond.

While many were able to switch off over the Christmas period, our teams didn’t.

Throughout the holidays, we’ve continued working 24/7 on our reactive water networking contract, responding to incidents, maintaining critical infrastructure, and ensuring customers continued to receive a safe and reliable water supply when it mattered most.

This level of service doesn’t happen by accident. It’s down to the dedication, resilience, and professionalism of our operational teams, planners, and support staff who were on call and on site over Christmas and the New Year.

*NEW CONTRACT ALERT*

Early November we commenced work in the Hampshire area on a project that spent a while on the drawing board. We finally engaged partnership with United Infrastructure Ltd and Southern Water to mobilise works at 2 different sites which will gradually rise to 5 by March '26 on a water mains rehabilitation project. This involves the renewal of water mains ranging between 3.5km to 7km individually across the 5 different sites.

During the planning stage we have built up an amazing working relationship with both 'UI' and Southern water which has enabled us to make efficient progress in the time that has been spent together. Community notifications and awareness have been paramount through the initiation of works to enforce safety and security.

In the short space of time that we have had on the ground, we have already excelled our targets and renewed over 1.6km of pipe. We now look to progress works in the new year with a target driven outlook to get this project over the line.

*NEW CONTRACT AWARDED*

We are delighted to announce that KM Group have been awarded the Repair and Maintenance aspect of the Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water networking contract going into Amp 8. We are very excited to work on behalf of Network Plus for the first time and hope to build on what already seems to be an outstanding working relationship.

We maintain our belief that building good, healthy relationships with both new and existing clients is absolutely paramount within every sector that we are involved with, to ensure a safe and efficient manner of works.

We have recently taken delivery of several new mini excavators which will support us in keeping leakage to a minimum across the eastern network.
