Our Zero Waste Week post didn’t seem to make it in front of many people the first time around – and as it includes some brilliant local organisations and useful links, we thought it deserved another chance. 😊

We’re lucky to have some brilliant local initiatives here in Newcastle Emlyn too:

👕 Donate – Emlyn Circle C.I.C., https://www.facebook.com/groups/730683897099210/which supports local community causes, and Farplace Animal Rescue Shop https://www.facebook.com/farplaceshopnewcastleemlyn are both great places to give unwanted items a new home.
🔧 Repair – before throwing something broken away, take a look at our local Newcastle Emlyn Repair Café https://www.facebook.com/p/Newcastle-Emlyn-Repair-Cafe-100087120402557/ .
🛠️ Borrow – Pethau Pawb Emlyn – Library of Things lets you borrow useful items rather than buying something you might only need occasionally https://pethaupawbemlyn.lend-engine.com/home-15 .
📦 Keep – and if you want to keep something but simply don't have room for it at home, that's where we can help!

Why choose humidity-controlled storage? 💧📦
Some belongings need a little more protection when they're in storage.
Furniture, electronics, antiques, photographs, paperwork and fabrics can all be sensitive to changes in humidity.
That's why at Dragon Guard we offer humidity-controlled units – insulated units fitted with self draining dehumidifiers to help maintain a more stable environment.
We have a small number of 20' × 8' humidity-controlled units becoming available soon. Want to know if humidity-controlled storage is right for what you're storing? Just get in touch – we're always happy to advise.

The kids are heading back to school, summer is drawing to a close and there's definitely a little hint of autumn in the air...
September always feels like a bit of a fresh start – and a good excuse to finally tackle those jobs that have been put off over the summer! 😄
Whether it's reclaiming the spare room, clearing out the garage or finding a better home for the things you want to keep but don't need every day, a little extra space can make a big difference.
We also have some humidity-controlled storage units becoming available, ideal for belongings that benefit from a more carefully controlled environment.

🐾 Happy National Dog Day! 🐾
We couldn't let National Dog Day pass without featuring two very important members of the Dragon Guard team… Dottie & Teddy. 🐶🐶
You may have already met Teddy, but today he's joined by Dottie — and the two of them couldn't be more different!
Dottie is our serious one. She's always on alert, likes to know exactly what's going on and can be a little anxious if anything is out of place. She takes her unofficial role as Dragon Guard security very seriously!
Teddy, on the other hand, is the joker of the family. He's laid-back, happy-go-lucky and generally takes life in his stride. His priorities are people, playing and seeing what mischief he can get into next. 😂
Somehow, despite their very different personalities, they're the best of friends — although apparently sharing one tiny bed is preferable to using one of the other perfectly good beds available to them!
Happy National Dog Day from Dottie & Teddy, our very own little Dragon Guards. ❤️🐾

Making the most of the Bank Holiday weekend? ☀️📦
Just a reminder that Dragon Guard Self Storage is open as usual throughout the Bank Holiday weekend, including Monday.
So if you've been meaning to sort through your storage unit, have a clear-out, reorganise your belongings or finally tackle those boxes you've been putting off... the extra day might be the perfect opportunity! 😄

Meet Teddy... our smallest member of the security team! 🐾
While our CCTV, electric gates and secure fencing do most of the hard work, Teddy likes to think he's in charge around here. ❤️
He's always on patrol, loves greeting familiar faces and takes his role as Chief Meet & Greet very seriously (especially if treats are involved!).
If you see him around the yard, don't forget to say hello! 👋
