A week in and Hans Fielen at Mount Scipets Farm in Maidstone is already putting his new bale breaker through its paces!

The new breaker is feeding into his field baler and then on to a bale baron (Scrase Farms) and Hans is now getting to grips with the system and seeing just how fast he can run it.

This setup gives him the option to get his crop into large bales quickly, then rebale into smaller bales through the winter as demand requires. While still having the option to supply large bales where needed.

It’s great to see the machine out on farm and from the sound of things Hans is very happy with how it’s performing!

Now to see how fast he can get it running…

Four bale breakers lined up and ready for their next jobs...

It's always quite satisfying seeing them all together on the shop floor!

These four will soon be heading off to do very different things, but it does make us wonder...

Who will be next to have one lined up here?

Back in action and ready to work!

Our engineers finished on site yesterday installing and commissioning a refurbished KME Bale Breaker for a customer down south.

The complete installation and commissioning was carried out within just two days.

The system will break down large straw and hay bales, feeding the material directly into a Massey Ferguson baler.

Giving existing machinery a new lease of life!

Who else wants one?

You're probably too busy making hay to read this... 🌾
..which is exactly why we're posting it now.

When the crop is in the shed and it's time to start rebaling, that's when everyone starts thinking about ordering a machine.

We prefer our customers to think a little earlier.

Every rebaler we build is made to order, so the best time to start the conversation is while you're busy in the field not when you need the machine tomorrow.

These three are already spoken for and nearly ready to head to their new owners. Here's a quick walk-round before they leave the workshop.

If a rebaler is on your plans for the coming season, get in touch now and get ahead of the rush.

We'd be happy to discuss your requirements.

Break It Down. Keep Your Process Moving.

When materials arrive compressed into dense bales or in loose bulk form, the first stage of your process is critical.

Our Bale Breaker is engineered to gently open, tease apart and meter materials into a consistent, controlled feed helping downstream equipment operate more efficiently while reducing blockages, manual handling and process interruptions.

Successfully processing materials including:

Dense textile bales
Textile clippings
Hay, straw and haylage
Plastic film and silage wrap
H**p, flax, miscanthus & switch grass
Cardboard
Leather clippings
Pine straw
Even delicate Long-stemmed flowers!
And many more...

Whether you're operating in textile recycling, waste processing or agriculture, the Bale Breaker provides a reliable way to prepare material before shredding, conveying, separating or further processing.

Its ability to handle both baled and loose materials makes it one of the most versatile machines at the front end of a processing line creating a steady, controlled stream of material that improves efficiency throughout the entire system.

One machine. Multiple industries. Endless applications.

If you're looking to increase throughput and the performance of your processing line get in touch to find out how our Bale Breaker can help.

Some machines get traded in.

Some machines get scrapped.

This one came back home.

Originally built by us 13 years ago, this twin ram baler returned for a refurbishment ahead of its journey to Ireland later this week.

13 years done and ready for more!

AGRICULTURAL MACHINERY VS RECYCLING MACHINERY

This week on our shop floor, it's a case of Agri Machinery and Recycling Machinery going head-to-head.

At the front of the workshop stand 3 bale breakers, each built for a completely different application:

1️⃣ heading to Germany, it will become part of a haylage packing system.
2️⃣ destined for a UK farmer who is converting large bales into small conventional bales. This machine is fitted with a chute to feed material directly into his field baler, creating an efficient bale-to-bale process.
3️⃣ is staying in the UK and will be used to break up bales of chopped plastic silage wrap for recycling.

While agriculture takes centre stage at the front of the shop, recycling dominates the rear.

A multitude of grey and red conveyors and balers are currently progressing through production and assembly, all destined for Veolia | UK as part of a Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) upgrade project.

It's a great snapshot of the variety of equipment we manufacture, from helping farmers handle forage and hay to supporting large-scale recycling operations. Different industries, different challenges, but the same focus on robust, reliable machinery.

Which side wins this week's shop floor battle: 🚜 Agriculture or ♻️ Recycling?
