A new client of ours reported a very loud grinding noise coming from the pump/motor.
We removed the pump from site after finding the bearings had failed due to poor maintenance.
We stripped the pump and motor in our workshop, skimmed over the shaft to remove minor wear, and rebuilt with new bearings, freshly greased and refitted with suitable gland packing.
We commissioned the pump proving it performs as required.
The end user was very pleased with the result.
