The Kaby group of companies has established itself as a major provider of sub contract engineering services and is the ideal partner to move forward with, be it on a major package of work or just a one off prototype, the skill levels through the group enables us to tackle a range of projects with group facilities covering, turning, machining, welding, fabricating, heat treatment, plating and much
more. The strength of Kaby lies in its ability to fund and manage major packages of work, whilst also being flexible enough to facilitate one off prototypes or small batch requirements. We are aware of the need to offer cost effective solutions using all our experience in utilising modern manufacturing methods such as lean plus effective quality control techniques. Our extensive engineering knowledge available within the group enables us to add value to our customer’s projects beyond our own facilities, for example heat treatment, plating or painting treatments. We are predominantly based in the Leicester area giving us superb access to the rest of the UK and being within easy reach of the Midlands motorway hub enabling easy access to the major UK ports and airports. Kaby started in 1965 when the founder Gian Sanghera began operating from the proverbial garden shed, before moving to more suitable premises in 1972, and then on to our current base in Upper Charnwood Street in 1979. We have subsequently added two further facilities with our dedicated lean manufacturing sites at Sheene Road (2010) and Omni House (2012). Sheene Road was created for the manufacture of pivot pins and Omni House for producing a range of machined fabrications. A continuous programme of investment, expansion and improvement to the facilities plus infrastructure plus an ongoing commitment to incorporate the latest manufacturing techniques plus the most up to date machine tools to provide for the needs of our customers. We are a major supplier into the demanding earthmoving industry, and our other customer portfolio includes, motorsport, automotive, leisure and rail industry with Caterpillar, JCB and Volvo being amongst our ever growing list of customers, within the UK and also worldwide.
