🔎Taking No Chances with Tank Integrity

A little preventative maintenance goes a long way!

During a recent inspection, we spotted early signs of pitting on one of our acid tanks. Although the tank remains fully certified and operational, we believe in dealing with potential issues early rather than waiting for them to become bigger ones.

The tank is now with our specialist engineering and welding partner, Code A Weld, where the affected areas will be removed and repaired, with any compromised sections replaced.

It will then be fully relined, tested and certified before returning to the ATI fleet ready for hire.

Another example of the work that goes on behind the scenes to keep our specialist tank fleet in top condition. 🔧

🚴 Pedalling for a Great Cause

A big well done to our very own Dennis, one of ATI Tank Hire’s longest-serving yard operatives, who recently swapped tanks for two wheels to take part in a sponsored bike ride in aid of Heart 2 Heart Norfolk 💚

The ride saw Dennis and his fellow cyclists from The Rumbold Arms clocking up the miles around Norfolk, with a route taking in a number of local pubs along the way — purely for essential refreshment purposes, of course! 🍻🚴

Most importantly, it was all in support of a very worthy local cause, raising vital funds for Heart 2 Heart Norfolk.

Well done Dennis and everyone who took part — a fantastic effort! 👏

After completing a customer contract, our tanks return to our Great Yarmouth site looking a little worse for wear, dirt, surface rust and the effects of months on a busy construction or industrial sites all have an impact.

We're delighted to announce the promotion of Tony Howell to Project Manager at ATI Tank Hire.

Tony's journey with ATI is one we're incredibly proud of. Starting out in our yard, he gained invaluable hands-on experience with our tanks and silos before moving into the office, where he has spent the last couple of years building strong relationships with customers and expanding his knowledge of the business.

His hard work, dedication and willingness to take on new challenges have led to this well-earned promotion, and we couldn't be happier for him.

What a fantastic day we had at Great Yarmouth Race Course for our annual Charles Lumsden Race Day.

Each year we get together to celebrate the life of our founder, Charles, with a day of racing, plenty of laughs and (for a lucky few!) some winning bets! 💷🏆

The sunshine made an appearance, the horses didn't disappoint, and everyone had a brilliant time.

It's one of our favourite days of the year and a tradition we're proud to continue.

🚜 There's a new heavyweight in the yard!

Say hello to the latest addition to the ATI Tank Hire fleet – an 18-tonne SMV forklift!

Built in Sweden and originally commissioned in 2003 for NATO emergency support, this impressive machine has had a surprisingly quiet life... until now.

It's ready to get to work moving some of the biggest tanks and silos in our fleet, helping us continue to provide the safe, reliable service our customers know us for.

We think it's looking right at home already! 💪

How do you build strong community foundations? You start right here at home. 🏡

We are absolutely delighted to be partnering with an amazing group of Land & Wildlife students from Easton College to develop plans for our brand-new biodiverse green space and memorial garden (which is being created in special memory of our late owner and director, Charles Lumsden).

The students recently spent the day at our site to carry out an initial ecological survey – mapping out wildlife habitats, recording plant species, and laying the crucial groundwork to support local biodiversity.

For us, investing in green spaces isn't just about corporate sustainability – it's about giving the next generation hands-on experience in environmental stewardship. A huge thank you to the Easton College team for all their hard work and enthusiasm. We already can't wait to welcome them back in September to begin transforming the space! 🌱
