🚨 IMPORTANT EAS CHANGES COMING OCTOBER 2026 🚨

The Electrotechnical Assessment Specification (EAS) is changing.

From 1 October 2026, new requirements will apply across the electrical industry with a much stronger focus on individual competence, qualifications and ongoing CPD.

For Periodic Inspection & Testing, individuals carrying out the work will need:
✔ Recognised Level 3 Inspection & Testing qualification
✔ Relevant practical experience
✔ Evidence of ongoing CPD

New qualification requirements are also being introduced for:
⚡ EV Charging
☀ Solar PV
🔋 Battery Storage Systems

The industry is moving away from the “One QS covers everybody” model and towards proving the competence of the individual carrying out the work.

Now is the time to prepare your workforce and stay ahead of the changes.

Just a reminder that our sponsored walk takes place tomorrow in support of the new sensory room at Avenue End Primary School 💙

📅 Date: Friday 08th May 2026
🕙 Meeting Time: 10:00am
🚶 Start Time: 10:30am
📍 Meet Point: New Lanark Visitor Centre, New Lanark World Heritage Site, ML11 9DB

We’ll be taking on a scenic riverside loop around the beautiful Falls of Clyde, with stunning woodland and waterfall views along the way 🌲🌊

🥾 Distance: Approx. 3–5km
⏱ Walking Time: Around 1–1.5 hours
🕒 Total Event Duration: Approx. 2.5 hours

Please remember to bring:
✔️ Sturdy footwear
✔️ Waterproof jacket
✔️ Water bottle
✔️ Small snack
✔️ Any required medication

⚠️ Safety Reminder:
• Children must be supervised by a parent or responsible adult at all times
• Please stay on marked paths
