The MU team is delighted to be supporting CCG Scotland Ltd on behalf of Kelvin Properties in the delivery of 'The Mount' - a wonderful new development comprising of 21 build-to-rent homes in Glasgow city centre.

Situated just off Hill Street, the project involves the conversion of the B-listed 'Mount' building - originally established in 1882 as part of the Hospital for Sick Children - into a range of 21 flats, with 3 'mews' style townhouses constructed on the adjacent land.

The Mount is now one of two projects we are supporting CCG and Kelvin with a turnkey utilities package, following the commencement of works on a new PBSA residence on Kelbourne St in the city's West End last year.

Arc-Tech MU is delighted to be supporting CCG Scotland Ltd with the delivery of 'South Queensferry Manor', a new 60-bedroom care home for Northcare (Scotland).

Forming part of a wider masterplan of new build residential development located within a short distance of the iconic Forth Bridges, this brand-new residence will introduce a new standard of care and a hospitality-led living experience to northwest Edinburgh. Future residents set to benefit from the highest standard of residential and nursing care provision, as well as a wide range of amenities such as a private cinema, hair and beauty salon, Brasserie and beautifully landscaped gardens.

MU has been deployed to install a turnkey utilities package, with South Queensferry Manor being one of three care residences currently onsite across the country.

A great project for our team, South Queensferry Manor further demonstrates MU’s growing expertise in the care sector, and we look forward to seeing the development take shape in the months ahead.

Arc-Tech MU is delighted to be supporting CCG Scotland Ltd, on behalf of The City of Edinburgh Council, in the delivery of Powderhall - a new, multigenerational building comprising 27 amenity homes and a 128-place early years centre.

Located just off Broughton Road in the Canonmills area of Edinburgh city centre, both the new homes - 19 of which will be wheelchair-accessible - and the early years centre are designed to a Passivhaus standard of build, offering a highly sustainable way to address local housing and childcare needs.

Our team has worked closely with CCG's Technical Department, Arc-Tech and design team members such as Collective Architecture to develop and install a dual-fuel water and electrical services package, with the pioneering development set for completion in spring 2027. ➡️ https://www.arctechmu.co.uk/arc-tech-mu-joins-powderhall-regeneration/

Arc-Tech MU is delighted to have commenced work on two residential developments in Stirlingshire in recent months.

Our team is now on site alongside CCG Scotland Ltd at the 44-home, low-carbon development on Graystale Road, St Ninian’s, for Stirling Council. We are also well underway in Balmaha (pictured), where a further 20 affordable homes are being delivered for Rural Stirling HA.

Our second profile to commemorate Women in Construction Week and International Women's Day (8th of March) is Kirsty Mahon!

Kirsty (37) from Motherwell is a long-standing member of the MU team. She entered the construction industry in 2021 as a purchase ledger for CCG (Scotland) Ltd before joining us a year later as our administrator. Since then, she has advanced through multiple roles and is now embarking on a new career pathway in quantity surveying.

"Working in construction has been an incredibly rewarding journey. I joined the business in 2022 and have been fortunate to grow through several roles, most recently stepping into my position as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor while also studying for my Honours degree in Quantity Surveying. I’m really excited to continue learning, developing new skills, and supporting the commercial and financial delivery of projects alongside such a supportive team.

"During Women in Construction Week and ahead of International Women’s Day, it’s a great reminder that the industry offers so many opportunities for women across a wide range of roles. I’ve seen more and more women entering technical and leadership positions over the past few years, and it’s inspiring to be part of that progress. My message to any young woman considering construction is simple – go for it. The industry needs diverse perspectives, and there are so many paths you can take."

Women in Construction Week (WIC Week) celebrates and promotes the role of women in the construction industry. It aligns closely with International Women's Day (8th of March), with each event designed to promote and celebrate the achievements of women, foster diversity and inclusion, and create opportunities for the next generation.

In the spirit of WIC Week, we thought we would introduce you to our two female staff, beginning with Megan, who joined the MU Team...earlier this week!!
Megan (27) from Coatbridge began her career as an apprentice project manager in telecoms, before quickly advancing into project coordination and project management roles.

“I’m really excited to be starting my new role as a Project Coordinator with Arc-Tech MU and to be taking the next step in my career within the utilities and construction sector. I’ve always been motivated by the opportunity to work on projects that have a real impact on communities, and this role gives me the chance to continue developing my skills while contributing to infrastructure that supports everyday life.

"With Women in Construction Week and International Women’s Day approaching, it’s a great time to recognise the progress being made across the industry. While construction has traditionally been male-dominated, it’s encouraging to see more women stepping into technical, project, and leadership roles. I’m proud to be part of that change and hope it encourages more women to consider the wide range of opportunities our industry offers.”

Arc-Tech MU is officially underway in Viewpark, where our team is supporting CCG Scotland Ltd in delivering 26 new, affordable homes for North Lanarkshire Council 👏

Designed by Coltart Earley, the development will offer a mix of house types up to 4 bedrooms across a range of styles, including terraced houses, bungalows, and cottage flats 🏠
