The majority of our customers will know this familiar face — Mark Knowles!

As one of the original owners of Hydeng, Mark has played an integral role in the history, growth and success of the business over the years.

When ownership changed hands in November 2025, with Mathew Reeves and Nikita Smith purchasing the business, Mark stayed on board as our Workshop Manager, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge, experience and an invaluable understanding of the business.

Mark plays a vital role in keeping the Hydeng workshop running smoothly, overseeing day-to-day operations and helping ensure every job is completed efficiently and to the high standard of quality our customers have come to expect from us.

With years of industry experience and a hands-on approach, Mark remains an important part of the Hydeng team as we continue to build on the foundations he helped establish.

Thanks for being such an important part of the Hydeng story, Mark! 🔧

Just a snippet of what we get up to 👋

It’s not always dirty hydraulic hoses and broken machinery, we love finding ways to combine practical solutions with a bit of technology!

Our in-house laser engraving capabilities allow us to create custom identification plates, markings and QR codes to suit a range of applications.

It’s just another way we can provide our customers with a quality, tailored solution from design right through to the finished product.

Meet James Fyfe!

James joined the Hydeng team in 2021, bringing with him a unique mix of mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, software and IT skills.

A mechanic by trade, James has since expanded his talents well beyond the workshop.

He specialises in software programming, electrical data, mechatronics and pretty much anything involving a computer, cable or circuit board.

James is our resident IT Guru and the person everyone turns to when something stops working and nobody else has any idea why! 😜

If it has buttons, wires, software or a screen, there’s a very high chance James can work it out — although sometimes he may need to explain it to the rest of us in a language we actually understand! 😮‍💨

His combination of hands-on mechanical knowledge and technical expertise makes him a valuable part of our Hydeng team.

Whether he’s programming, troubleshooting, working on machinery or rescuing us from an IT disaster, James is always ready to find a solution.

Basically, if it plugs in, turns on, moves, or refuses to cooperate… James is the man for the job!

Kirstyn is the newest addition to our Hydeng team, joining us at the end of April.

Kirstyn looks after a range of administrative duties, including both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, along with all the other day-to-day admin that keeps our office ticking.

She has been a fantastic addition to the team and has settled into our crazy bunch perfectly. We’re very happy to have Kirstyn on board!

18/08/2026

Alex joined the Hydeng team with valuable experience in the agricultural industry and has become an integral part of our team as our Front Counter Sales/Storeman.

He is the friendly face you’ll see when you walk through our front door, always ready to help customers find the right solution for their needs. Alex keeps our extensive range of products well stocked and organised, while ensuring we have what our customers need, when they need it.

His practical industry experience, product knowledge and friendly approach make Alex an important part of the Hydeng team.

Make sure you come in and say G'day!
