O'Brien Electrical Carrum Downs

26/10/2026

Great day on Friday hosting the team from Schneider Electric !

Schneider came out to our Carrum Downs workshop to deliver hands-on EV charger training to eight of our A-Grade electricians and apprentices from Carrum Downs and O'Brien Electrical & Air Conditioning Thomastown , covering the latest in charger technology, installation and setup.

We believe in empowering our people by investing in their skills, so they can grow their careers and feel confident tackling whatever comes next. With more and more people making the switch to electric vehicles, that means making sure our sparkies are ready to do the job right the first time. Big thanks to Schneider Electric for taking the time to come out and meet with us!

Thinking about an EV charger at home or work? Give our team a call.

Congratulations to Tyler on completing his apprenticeship!

Watching Tyler develop his skills and grow into a confident, capable electrician has been a real highlight for our whole team. This milestone isn't just about ticking off qualifications — it's proof of what's possible when talent meets dedication and the right support along the way.

At O'Brien Electrical Carrum Downs, we believe our people are our greatest asset. Investing in apprenticeships isn't just about building skills for today; it's about building the future of our business, one person at a time. Every apprentice we bring on board is a reminder that our success is written by the people behind it.

So here's to Tyler — welcome to the next chapter! And here's to everyone who mentored, guided, and cheered him on along the way.

We can't wait to see what you achieve next.

We spend every day making sure the power stays on, the connections are safe, and nothing gets overloaded.

But circuits aren't the only things that can be under too much pressure.

Today's a good day to switch off the small talk and ask someone real: "Are you okay?"

Then actually stick around for the answer.

To our sparkies, our apprentices, our office crew, and everyone we work alongside — your wellbeing matters just as much as the work you do. Don't wait for R U OK Day to check in on the people around you.

💜 Good Food. Great People. A Good Cause.

Our Community Sausage Sizzle isn't just about sausages.

It's about bringing local businesses together while supporting families in our community.

We're proud to partner with MSFIN – Mums Supporting Families in Need, a local charity providing essential material aid to vulnerable families across Melbourne's south-east.

From clothing and toiletries to baby items, linen, toys and everyday necessities, MSFIN helps families experiencing hardship access the practical support they need.

So when you grab a sausage at our BBQ, you're helping us support a fantastic local organisation.

That's a sausage worth buying!

- Plant and building automation, and national maintenance contracts.

And across it all, we’re driven by industry-leading innovation. Put us to the test today.

Whatever time of day, an electrical emergency needs sorting fast. Rest assured our 24-seven emergency service is just a call away. Our number’s the same nationwide – and we never let the speed of our response compromise the care and skill with which we carry out our work. It’s one of the reasons we were named Supplier of the Year for the Spotlight Group, along with our excellent communication, quality, and value.
