I got a review today for my multi award winning book Foresight. It is five stars, which is awesome, but that's not why I loved it.
The review title is "Great YA story, But its not for me..."
Let that sink in. Margaret read my book, enjoyed it yes, it would appear so. Still, the fact that she openly indicates this book wasn't really for her and then broke down why it is still absolutely amazing and a must read for the right YA audience the book is pitched at, is fantastic.
As an author, I love to push the boundaries of my skills, stretch my ability to tell stories, but educate all in one. To have a successful book, you need social proof; proof from readers and this is the stuff that makes people sit back and think, "Maybe this book could be for me, Margaret still loved it and it's not normally her thing; she isn't the right audience, but loved it enough to encourage others to read it."
Thank you Margaret, firstly for reading my book. Secondly, for providing social proof, honest, real thoughts on my book.
