π±π Elders Pasture Ute Drive β This Friday! ππ±
Weβre hitting the road this Friday for the Elders Pasture Ute Drive, proudly held in partnership with Halter!
Join us for a full day touring a range of farming enterprises across East Gippsland, looking at different pasture systems, production environments and some of the challenges farmers face in getting the most out of their pastures.
π Itinerary:
π 8:00am β Meet at Elders Bairnsdale
π 8:30am β Depart Bairnsdale
π 10:00am β Orbost
Visit a dairy enterprise on the flats to look at pasture production and management in a high-producing environment.
π 12pm - Granite Rock
Head to a beef property to look at a combination of annual and perennial pastures on sandy soils, including strategies for combating African lovegrass.
π₯ͺ Lunch
Take a break and refuel before continuing the tour.
π 2pm Lindenow South
Look at perennial pasture systems in a lamb production enterprise.
π 3pm Forge Creek
Finish the day looking at quality forage production within a wool and lamb enterprise.
Itβs a great opportunity to get out on-farm, see a range of pasture systems in action, and have a chat about what is working across different soil types, enterprises and production goals.
