LAPP Southern Africa

LAPP Southern Africa Connecting tradition with the future! 🔌🌍 About Lapp:
LAPP Southern Africa opened its doors as a distribution partner in 1994.

Leading the process automation environment with a high quality range of cables and connections solutions, LAPP Southern Africa has a wide range of products to suit. Having 8 value brands, OLFLEX, UNITRONIC, SKINTOP, SILVYN, ETHERLINE, FLEXIMARK, EPIC and HITRONIC are all part of this complete solution. Since then the success and milestones have been immeasurable in the local market. In 2010 the St

uttgart- based LAPP Group intensified its activities in Southern Africa. The company was then renamed Lapp Southern Africa. Today Lapp cables produces cables and connectors for different industries and markets. Mechanical and system engineering, the automotive industry MSR technology electrical and installation engineering, EDC and more. We currently supply 40000 standard items from stock. We also develop and produce cables and conductors to customer specifications. The LAPP Group has 15 production sites, 100 outlets and 40 outlets and 40 sales organisations around the world. Brand Philosophy:
Branding policies are still rare in the technical field; however, Lapp has encouraged them right from the very start. When Oskar Lapp invented the first cable with colour-coded wires in 1959, he named this innovative product ÖLFLEX® and in so doing also created a catchy brand name which has accompanied the product during its great success. Since then, LAPP has carried out a consistent branding policy for each of our product lines.

Focus on flexibility and decentralisation 🔎

The demands of modern automation are changing. Rather than relying on large central control cabinets, more functions are moving closer to the machine – or even to the cloud. Jürgen Greger, Product Manager for Networks at LAPP, explains how our expanded range of IP67/69K-rated decentralised I/O modules supports multiple industrial Ethernet and IoT protocols.

🔧 With these modules, wiring effort is reduced and space is saved – enabling machine builders and OEMs to create more modular and flexible systems.

🌍 Multi-protocol support means one device can serve PROFINET, EtherCAT, MQTT and more – making it usable globally.

🎯 The result? Faster installations, less downtime and systems that are ready for tomorrow’s demands.

They cover topics such as 3-D motion, torsion-resistant cables, and millions of bending cycles.
Discover how LAPP’s connection technology enables humans and machines to work together seamlessly.
