Our for the month of August are Eddy (KZN) and Morné (GP), who spent 5 and 7 weeks respectively away from their loved ones, attending technical training courses in Europe.

Eddy completed an in-depth electrical training course, while Morné attended the advanced mechanical training – both at BOBST HQ in Lausanne, Switzerland. They have both described the experience as nothing short of “life-changing” and have hit the ground running on some very interesting local interventions, where they have already been able to put their newfound expertise to the test.

A massive thank you goes out to the BOBST instructors and the training department in general for the excellent work they do for us every time we send technicians for training. It is a significant investment, but the results always make it well worthwhile.

Automatic introduction of the full pallet into the feeder - When empty, the pallet is automatically transferred from the feeder passing underneath the feed-table, the podium and is then evacuated at the steps next to the feeder at the operator side, an optional pallet collector can stack up to 5 empty pallets.

Shredding production waste directly where it occurs is a key success factor for its efficient and trouble-free disposal.

The 𝗦𝗔𝗭 stripping waste shredder is installed directly in the stripping station so the large-area die-cutting waste falls continuously into the feeding chute and is quickly shredded into manageable pieces for extraction.

The 𝗦𝗭𝗠 Shredder is placed after the blanking station for resizing large grip edge and skeletal waste to ensure efficient and blockage free extraction.

Both models generate minimal dust and noise and are mounted on wheels for easy and quick relocation according to need.

𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗼-𝗙𝗹𝗲𝘅 𝗣𝗹𝘂𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿 is designed to process more challenging materials, including heavily printed films (up to 100% print coverage), multilayer and laminated films, as well as post-consumer plastic waste.

Compared to the standard Repro-Flex model, Repro-Flex Plus features an additional (third) degassing stage positioned between the first and second extruders. This extra degassing effectively removes excess moisture and residual inks, ensuring cleaner material processing. A secondary filtration system in the second extruder further enhances pellet quality, producing consistent, high-quality recycled pellets ready for reuse in manufacturing.
