Meet Maggie!

As General Manager at Joseph’s Engineering, Maggie is often the first face to welcome you through the door, always with a warm smile and the kind of energy that makes people feel instantly comfortable.

Magdeline Sehlapelo, known to everyone as “Maggie”, was born and raised in Thune Village, Ga-Mamabolo in Polokwane. Her dream of becoming a nurse brought her to Johannesburg in 1998, where she started as a volunteer at Grace House Nursing Home before becoming a permanent caregiver.

Over the years, Maggie built strong admin, office, and people skills through various roles in filing, credit control, and care work. It was during this time that she met Stephan and his wife, who later introduced her to Joseph’s Engineering. On 17 January 2016, Maggie joined the company and quickly became an important part of the team.

Clients know her for her kindness, confidence, problem-solving skills, and willingness to help wherever she can. Whether she’s assisting clients or keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, Maggie brings genuine care into everything she does.

After nearly 10 years with Joseph’s Engineering, we’re incredibly grateful for the dedication, positivity, and heart she brings to the team every single day.

This custom laser-cut grid, made from 5mm mild steel, was designed for a client to improve how their fireplace performs.

A fireplace grid lifts the wood off the base, allowing air to flow underneath. This helps the fire burn stronger, reduces smoke, makes cleaning easier, and protects your fireplace over time.

There’s something special about the “firsts.”

This photo was taken with our very first clients when Sonja and Sonnette took over Joseph’s Engineering many years ago, and it still feels like it was just yesterday.

Looking back, it’s moments like these that remind us how far we’ve come. It’s been a privilege to work with every client, understanding their needs and creating something that truly works for them. Even more meaningful is that many of those early clients are still with us today.

That kind of trust is something we never take for granted.

Thank you to every client who has been part of our journey. For 59 years, we’ve always aimed to give our best in everything we do, and it still feels like we’re just getting started.
