Moving soil around a working site sometimes calls for compact and manoeuvrable equipment. These photos are from a site where one of our CAT Skidsteers was used to clear and move soil.

Its size and manoeuvrability make it a practical option for site preparation, loading and moving material where working space is limited.

Plate compactors might not be the most exciting machines on site, but get the compaction wrong and you’ll notice soon enough.

Here’s a closer look at the parts that keep them working. Bo’s has standard and forward/reverse models available for soil, gravel, sand and paving work.

These photos are from a recent site where an excavator was used for trenching and clearing soil.

We supply 3 to 6 ton excavators for site preparation, excavation and moving material, with compact options suited to areas where larger machines may struggle.

This TLB was recently out on site clearing ground and shifting soil.

The front bucket handled the loading and moving, while the backhoe took care of the digging—saving the team from bringing in another machine for the job.

It was an absolute privilege to play a part in looking after the Umkomazi River and getting Pinnacle Rock cleared. 🌊

A huge effort the guys who got into the river and tackled the big log at Pinnacle Rock on Rapids 5 & 6. A big shout-out to STIHL too — tough jobs call for machinery that’s up to the task! 💪

Great equipment, a great crew and a community willing to get stuck in. Pinnacle Rock is clear and ready to be enjoyed again!
