Over the years, ZPMC has moved beyond one-size-fits-all solutions, transforming quay cranes from standardized equipment into custom-engineered systems designed for the unique challenges of ports worldwide.
In 2012, ZPMC unveiled the world's largest ultra-large goose-neck quay crane. For ports near airports with strict height restrictions, the team developed a parallelogram structure that allows the boom to fold like a goose's neck, cutting overall crane height by 30% compared to conventional designs. 🦢
In 2020, ZPMC introduced the SUPER low-profile quay crane with a proprietary telescopic boom. Its height was slashed by roughly 50%, meeting even the tightest clearance requirements while delivering stronger performance.
For earthquake-prone regions, ZPMC developed specialized solutions like slewing-platform seismic cranes and inclined-brace sliding joint cranes, ensuring stable operation even under extreme conditions.
From "adapting to ports" to "truly understanding ports," every innovation reflects ZPMC's commitment to meeting the real needs of customers around the globe. 🌍

ZPMC has successfully dispatched the jacket foundation for the Sanshan Island offshore converter station, a core component of China's first offshore wind power flexible HVDC transmission project that integrates offshore and onshore systems. The structure sets national records for both size and weight.
Throughout the project, the ZPMC team maintained precise control over vessel draft, trim, list, and ballast adjustments, carefully coordinated with tidal windows, and engineered the mooring system to exacting standards to complete the roll-on/roll-off operation flawlessly.
This successful delivery accelerates construction of the clean energy artery serving the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Two state-of-the-art quay cranes featuring ZPMC's innovative semi-circular beam design have arrived at PSA's SECH Terminal in Genoa. Custom-built to the port's exact specifications, these cranes represent a significant advancement in bringing ZPMC's semi-circular boom technology to ports worldwide.
Rising 126 meters tall with a 48-meter lift height, the cranes boast an impressive 60-meter outreach—a 10-meter increase from the previous 50-meter standard. This extended reach allows them to efficiently handle the world's largest container vessels. Operating in twin-lift mode, their lifting capacity has jumped from 45 to 65 tonnes, delivering a major boost in productivity.
Advanced technology sets these cranes apart. Equipped with Optical Character Recognition (OCR) systems, digital truck positioning tools, and vessel profile scanning capabilities, they bring enhanced precision, safety, and efficiency to every cargo operation.
The arrival of these cutting-edge cranes strengthens Genoa's role as a premier container hub in the Mediterranean and sets a new operational benchmark for the port.
