“Blerta Basholli’s Dua wins the Grand Prix at Luxembourg’s CinÉast”

Cineuropa reports on DUA’s Grand Prix at the 19th CinÉast Film Festival in Luxembourg, sharing the words of the international jury’s president, filmmaker Ildikó Enyedi:

“We were touched and fascinated by the way Blerta Basholli immerses us in the world of thirteen-year-old Dua: a delicate, very young protagonist who is looking for ‘the beast inside of her’ to survive in an atmosphere of imminent death. We weren’t just watching; we were right there by Dua’s side, in the midst of a production full of captivating intensity.”

The article also recalls DUA’s world premiere at Cannes Critics’ Week, where it received the SACD Award.

“Dua triumphs at the Cinemed”

PO VJEN NË SHTËPI

Këtë shtator, DUA, filmi i fuqishëm i Blerta Bashollit, vjen në shtëpi, në Prishtinë, si filmi i hapjës së edicionit 18 të PriFest.

Ka një kuptim të veçantë ta mirëpresim DUA-n në shtëpi. Një histori e lindur këtu, e bërë nga njerëzit tanë, që e ka çuar zërin e Kosovës shumë përtej kufijve tanë, dhe që tani kthehet aty ku i takon: përballë publikut kosovar, në ekranin e madh, në PriFest.

DUA eksploron adoleshencën, miqësinë, identitetin dhe rezistencën, në sfondin e një prej periudhave më të vështira të historisë së afërt të Kosovës. Filmi sjell një kast të mrekullueshëm aktorësh, me Pinea Sylejmani, Vlera Bilalli, Yllka Gashi, Kushtrim Hoxha, Kaona Sylejmani, Andi Bajgora, Fiona Abdullahu dhe Arben Bajraktaraj.

Filmi është me regji të Blerta Bashollit, me skenar nga Blerta Basholli dhe Nicole Borgeat, montazh nga Enis Saraçi dhe drejtor fotografie Lucie Baudinaud.

Producentë të filmit janë Valon Bajgora, Thomas Reichlin, Britta Rindelaub, Agon Uka dhe Yll Uka, ndërsa bashkëproducentë janë Amaury Ovise dhe Olivier Père. Filmi është një bashkëprodhim mes Kosovës, Zvicrës dhe Francës.

Pas një rrugëtimi të jashtëzakonshëm ndërkombëtar, DUA kthehet në shtëpi për të hapur festivalin tonë dhe për të nisur gjashtë ditë me filma, histori, takime dhe festë.

Sepse ndonjëherë, pjesa më e bukur e rrugëtimit të një filmi është të kthehet në shtëpi.

DUA po vjen në shtëpi.

Një tjetër moment i rëndësishëm për rrugëtimin ndërkombëtar të filmit tonë.

Pas premierës botërore në Festivalin e Filmit në Cannes, “DUA”, nga Blerta Basholli (Blerta Basholli) do të ketë premierën rajonale në garën kryesore të Sarajevo Film Festival, një prej festivaleve më prestigjioze të filmit në Evropën Juglindore.

Ky sukses është rezultat i punës, përkushtimit dhe pasionit të një ekipi të jashtëzakonshëm krijues dhe produksioni.

Falënderojmë regjisoren Blerta Basholli, producentët Valon Bajgora , Yll Uka dhe Agon Uka, bashkëproducentët Britta Rindelaub , Thomas Reichlin dhe Amaury Ovise, si dhe kastën e mrekullueshme: Pinea Matoshi , Vlera Bilalli, Yllka Gashi , Kushtrim Hoxha, Kaona , Andi Bajgora dhe Fiona Abdullahu .
