In this test, the solid carbide tool and the steel tool reach their vibration limits already at 0.5 mm Ap. At that depth, the cut becomes noisy, unstable, and the surface finish breaks down.
The MAQ tool continues without issues – not only at 0.5 mm Ap, but all the way up to 2 mm Ap. That’s a major difference in usable cutting depth, and it shows directly in the surface quality and the process stability.
Less noise isn’t just comfort. It’s a signal that the process is stable, and that the machine is doing exactly what it’s supposed to.
