Land of the free because of the brave 🇺🇸

On behalf of your Florida Rapid Intervention Operations Group, we wish you a safe Memorial Day.

The results are in! Congratulations Coral Springs Fire Department on taking home the title of 2026 Palm Beach State Invitational Rapid Intervention Team Competition Champions.

Each team competed at an exceptionally high level, and we believe there’s additional contributions to the competition worth measuring.

Florida Rapid Intervention Operations Group also recognizes and commends Miami Dade Metro RIT as the 2026 Palm Beach State Invitational Spirit Award Winner. The Coral Gables Fire Department is taking home the award for the competition’s Top Incident Commander.

Most importantly, this Finals Day, we honored Gary L. Staley of the Porter, Texas, Volunteer Fire Department, who died January 19, 2003 while conducting an interior fire attack at an automobile showroom fire incident. By creating the Finals Day course true to his LODD event, we honor and remember not just his service and sacrifice, but the family, friends, and department personnel who miss him daily.

We look forward to sharing additional images and videos of our LODD tribute.

Times and places below from final teams:

1) Coral Springs 6:14
2) Miami Dade 6:48
3) Town of Palm Beach 7:27
4) Coral Gables 7:31
5) Palm Beach Gardens 8:08

Standout job to all involved! Thank you for attending and supporting the 2026 Palm Beach State Invitational RIT Competition.

Check out the RIT brotherhood + family we’re looking forward to witnessing this week at the Palm Beach State Invitational 🤘🪓🔥

The Florida RIT Operations Group competition events have grown tremendously over the years.

We are stoked to see how many departments come back year after year, and it’s even more special welcoming new competitors to the stage.

The best part is the BUY-IN 💪➡️ team shirts, flags, social media accounts, and more, all with the common goal and mindset- training to save our own.

Shirts pictured include a variety of last year’s competing teams, who’s ready to make their debut in 2026?

Palm Beach, WE READY! See you there! 😎

PBSC Competitors

Due to the amount of teams that have signed up to compete this year we have had to make some changes to our schedule. We will NOT have a hands on class this year, instead we are going to have two days of preliminary competition with the finals. We would like to break the group up into two groups, one competing on Wednesday May 6th and the second group on Thursday May 7th. We would like to set it up where teams that are considered local would compete on the first day and teams that would have a longer distance to travel on Thursday.
We are using the email address that PBSC has given us, however we are not sure the address is for team captains or someone in administration. We wish to speak to each team captain personally. Please email us their phone number at [email protected] so we can contact you or please contact me at the number below.

Thank you for your attention to this matter
