Old fairgrounds, rodeos and racetrack bleachers without guardrails present massive safety, liability, and building code violations. Most building standards require guardrails and toe boards for any platform elevated 30 inches or more above the ground.

Major Risks & Concerns

Fall Hazards: Children, elderly visitors, and distracted fans face high risks of falling backward or off the sides.

Structural Decay: Vintage wood or rusted steel bleachers often suffer from hidden rot, loose bolts, and structural fatigue.

Legal Liability: Operating public seating that fails to meet modern building codes exposes organizers to severe lawsuits if an injury occurs.

Required elements to be to current code

Guardrails: Must be on the back and sides of the bleachers, typically at a height of 42 inches.

Aisle Railings: Handrails should be down the center of access stairways.

Riser Enclosures: Gaps between footboards and seatboards must be to where a 4-inch sphere cannot pass through, preventing small children from slipping through.

If you are operating one of these facilities or organizing an event at one, contact us today to find out how we can help you rent or purchase a solution to prevent avoidable injuries and not get red taped by code enforcement.

Through the smoke, we came across a unique hotel on our way to our most unique use of our bleacher systems to date. 🥔

This client opted to use our 7 row bleachers as a viewing deck for a viewing event of a 125 Megawatt solar project recently completed. Our team safely navigated miles of offroad terrain to make sure everything came together as planned. 🌞

Please keep our firefighters in your thoughts and hearts as they battle these unrelenting wildfires all across the region. 🚒 🙌🏽
