Process Solutions recently completed the design, build and commissioning of a control system that will operate The United Group's new high-tech sorting system at their recycling plant in Snohomish, WA.

The control system is comprised of a main PLC control panel equipped with (12) VFDs and a remote HMI panel that can provide real-time alerts for faults, errors, and overloads, as well as display useful information, such as time-run/time-stop.

Overall, The United Group's new sorting system will double their material intake capacity while also increasing their recycling rates, which were already the highest in Western Washington - further helping fulfill The United Group’s promise of being stewards of the environment and their community.

This flame safeguard panel is 1 of 11 control panels Process Solutions shipped this week to a client in the food processing industry.

The panel, along with its counterparts, will operate a new production line and includes a NEMA 4X stainless steel watershed-style enclosure, an I/O rack with over 290 I/O points, (18) flame signal amplifiers, (2) universal temperature transmitters, and a 10-port Ethernet switch.

This control panel shipped this week to our client in the food processing industry, where it will be used to operate a fryer on a snack food production line.

The panel is housed in a NEMA 4X stainless steel watershed style enclosure and includes a PLC processor with additional I/O modules, (3) single horsepower VFDs, (2) flame amplifiers, a 16-port Ethernet switch, and a door-mounted 10" color touch display.
