Irv's Jewelry Rocks & Gifts is a supercharged hobby store for rock hounds, gem and crystal collectors, and artists of all types. Because we are also a fully operating lapidary shop, we can turn your "Found Treasures" into prized pieces by cutting and polishing your gems or creating beautiful "One of a Kind" jewelry. We love sharing the joy of rocks, gems, and crystals at our store. If you visit our store you will find over 50 book titles to help you learn everything from where to look for cool gems to what the metaphysical meanings are. We carry lapidary tools, supplies, and equipment including many models of rock tumblers. Every Saturday is "Family Fun Day" in the store and kids win prizes and rock cards. SEEK THE TREASURE!

🔮 BEYOND THE BLUE: The Occult History of the "Beryl Mirror" 🌊👁️

We all know Aquamarine for its soothing ocean hues and calming energy. But flip through the pages of medieval grimoires and Renaissance magic texts, and this member of the natural beryl family reveals a much darker, mysterious past...

Long before glass crystal balls became popular in the 16th century, medieval scryers, alchemists, and diviners considered Beryl (specifically gemmy Aquamarine) the absolute premier stone for peering into the unknown.

📜 The Ritual of the Moonlit Bowl
According to 15th-century grimoires and occultist Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa, Aquamarine’s unique connection to water and light made it an unmatched conduit for divination:

🔹 The Setup: A practitioner would submerge a polished sphere or raw crystal termination in a bowl of dark, still water under the light of a full moon.

🔹 The Summons: As the moonlight caught the gem’s reflective blue interior, the scryer would gaze into the water to induce visions, reveal hidden secrets, and locate lost treasures.
