Quick reminder heading into the weekend 👋

With warmer weather here and summer getting underway, it’s a good time to start thinking about the basics.

Coolers, ice packs, and a little preparation can make a big difference for weekends at the lake, camping trips, or just spending time outside.

It’s also a good time to remember to stay ahead of the heat, drink plenty of water, take breaks in the shade, and don’t underestimate how quickly it can wear you down. 😅

Sometimes it’s the small prep that makes the day a lot more enjoyable.

Throwback Thursday with Hank 📼🎨

Another one from the archives this week, back when Hank and his cousin Matthew were helping out with a pretty serious paint situation at Sparta Hardware. 😄

After hearing that Grandpa might “go through the roof” over how much paint had been brought in, they weren’t so sure it was just a figure of speech.

Safe to say, they were pretty motivated to help move a few cans and get things back under control. 😂

Some problems were a little bigger than others… but they always found a way to have fun with it.

If something isn’t working and it runs on batteries, it’s worth checking the contacts.

Over time, batteries can leak or leave behind corrosion, which can prevent a good connection.

Quick reminder heading into the weekend 👋

Zip ties are one of those things that end up being useful for way more than you expect.

Quick fixes, organizing cords, securing things in place, or just keeping something from moving around, they tend to come in handy more often than you’d think.

Not the most exciting item in the store… but definitely one of the most used.

Throwback Thursday with Hank 📼🔧

Another one from the archives this week, back when Hank decided it was time to get serious for a minute… or at least try to. 😄

In this ad, he talked about how important “connections” are, pointing out that with the right ones, you can fix leaks, keep things running, and handle all sorts of problems around the house.

Of course, like most things, the message took a few unexpected turns along the way. 😂
