His background includes serving as Production Manager at Venture Machine & Tool, a Supervisor at Chart Energy, and an accomplished career in the U.S. Navy, where he developed extensive expertise in leadership, scheduling, and logistics.

Sometimes the smallest details make the biggest impact!

For the Dodge Charger, the challenge was to develop a cost-effective way to create a crisp, precise mating edge on aluminum trim without increasing tooling complexity.

The solution combined:
👉 Aluminum in-mold decoration
👉 Precision CNC-machined edges
👉 Engine-turned finish

By machining the aluminum trim, the design team gained greater flexibility while improving both appearance and functionality. CNC machining allowed multiple opening configurations to be created without requiring additional tooling, resulting in:

✔ Cleaner, sharper edges with no radii
✔ Reduced gaps between mating components
✔ Greater design flexibility
✔ Lower overall tooling costs through fewer dies

The finished shifter bezel pairs seamlessly with the Charger's aluminum instrument panel, creating a premium interior aesthetic while providing opportunities to refresh finishes for future vehicle editions.
