*** IMPORTANT UPDATE ON BLADES ***
We are no longer sharpening generic or low-quality blades. These blades come with inferior parts, making it very difficult to set the appropriate blade tension after sharpening and they just don’t perform as well as branded blades. They can also take 3X longer to sharpen and cause more wear and tear on our machines.
THE GOOD - We know, from many years of sharpening, that the following brands have good quality metal/parts and therefore, highly recommend them: Andis, Wahl, Oster, Artero, Zolitta, Buttercut, Heiniger, Bucchelli, AGS, *Laube, Sensei, Furzone, & Petstore.direct. *Be careful, we’ve seen knockoffs
THE BAD - Following are some of the more common blades we no longer sharpen: Dodaer, Shernbao, BestBomg, Joyzee, Oneisall, HQRP, & all blades with no branding. Basically, if you can’t pronounce it or they aren’t proud enough to put their branding on it, it’s likely cheap junk.
It’s tempting to purchase these low-cost blades, but they will likely cost you more in the long run due to having to replace the springs, sockets and guides. If we receive a blade not listed yet and determine it to be of low-quality, at no charge, it will be returned unsharpened. It’s near impossible to keep up with all the cheap knock offs flooding the market.
We hope this helps you make better informed decisions the next time you purchase new blades. Investing in the best sets you up for success!
Happy Clipping!
