Carol Rae is home, getting comfortable and focusing on healing in her rental lift chair after her **44th heart surgery**.

Forty-four.

She told us it's a record at Overlake Hospital. Her journey began with an experimental heart surgery at just **14 years old**, and through every challenge, she's continued to show incredible courage and resilience.

Seeing Carol Rae resting comfortably in her lift chair and having a safe, accessible ramp at her front door is a reminder that recovery isn't just about leaving the hospital—it's about being able to come home with comfort, dignity, and peace of mind.
