They never forgot their moving buddy. 🥹

I always loved that Pixar remembered this tiny detail years later. “Moving buddy” could have easily been forgotten after Toy Story 2, but bringing it back in Toy Story 4 made Buzz and Bo’s friendship feel like it never disappeared. It’s a small callback that rewards longtime fans.

Jessie Lightyear 🩷

Buzz and Jessie’s relationship didn’t come out of nowhere. Pixar had been planting little moments between them ever since Toy Story 2, then gradually built on them in each movie instead of forcing it all at once. It’s one of those relationships that feels earned because it develops naturally over time.

When did you first realize Buzz and Jessie liked each other? 💚

Jessie deserved this ending 😭

Jessie’s biggest fear was being forgotten, so this ending would’ve brought her story full circle. Instead of being left behind again, she would’ve been passed down by the very person who once loved her most. It would’ve been a beautiful reminder that some childhood bonds never truly disappear.

They deserved better 😤

The Little Green Men went from saving everyone’s lives in Toy Story 3 to barely getting any meaningful moments afterward. They still pop up here and there, but they haven’t really had the same impact since. It feels like there’s so much more Pixar could do with them.

Rex is one of the funniest characters because he’s supposed to be the scariest toy in the room, yet he’s the one who’s always the most worried. That contrast is what makes him so lovable and memorable.

Jessie and Emily’s story already became one of the most heartbreaking moments in Pixar history. Now it sounds like Toy Story 5 is revisiting that chapter with an original song centered on their reunion, which could make those emotions hit even harder. If done right, it might become one of the most unforgettable scenes in the entire franchise.

One detail a lot of people miss is that Cruella and Anita were actually classmates, meaning they’re meant to be around the same age. Cruella’s gaunt appearance, dramatic makeup, and constant smoking make her seem much older than she really is, which is a testament to how strongly Disney used visual design to reflect her obsession with fashion and her unhealthy lifestyle. It’s amazing how character design alone can completely change how we perceive someone’s age.

Esmeralda and Chel are a great reminder that Disney heroines don’t all have to fit the same design. Both characters have visibly athletic builds that match their adventurous lifestyles, making them feel even more believable and unique. It’s refreshing to see different body types represented while still creating two of Disney’s most iconic and confident female characters.

Gary truly cares about others 🥰

Gary is such a small character, but details like this give him so much personality. The fact that he immediately puts bandages on Judy where the darts hit shows how naturally caring and prepared he is. It also makes you wonder what other emergency supplies a snake like Gary might carry around. What other little Gary details did you notice?
