How the Grinding Process Works
The machine uses a mechanical, multi-step process to shred debris:
Inflow Capture: Raw wastewater flows directly through the unit's channel or pipe. Special side rails (like the Delta P design) guide water through while pushing rags, plastics, and wipes directly into the cutters.
Dual-Shaft Counter-Rotation: Inside are two parallel shafts fitted with sharp, interlocking cutting teeth. These shafts rotate inward toward each other.
Differential Speed: The two shafts spin at slightly different, very slow speeds. This variation creates a powerful shearing and tearing action rather than just a simple crushing motion.
Low-Speed, High-Torque Shredding: Because the motor turns slowly, it generates massive cutting force (torque). This allows it to easily slice through tough items like wet wipes, clothing, wood, and trash.
Size Reduction: Specialized "Wipes Ready" cutters slice the debris in two dimensions (width and length). The resulting tiny particles pass safely through standard pump impellers without causing a jam.
