Posi-flate recently built this 5-inch 484 series high pressure outlet Butterfly Valve which will be installed on a pneumatic conveying system handling pure solar grade polysilicon.

The valve features a cast iron housing, a polished stainless steel disc, and a white silicone seat, a Tork-Mate pneumatic actuator, and a Trak-lok NEMA 4/12 limit switch.

The 16-inch valve assembly features a black nylon molded disc over a 316L stainless steel shaft, black EPDM seat, and a special quick responding, double acting actuator.

The Posi-flate inflatable butterfly valve is designed to handle abrasive materials such as silica sand, glass batch, alumina, and magnesite. And also fragile materials, such as granulated sugar, table salt, pelletized carbon black and spray dried detergents.

The valve uses an inflatable seat to seal with air pressure, ensuring a bubble tight seal and eliminating dust leaks. The smooth profile of the disc provides minimum flow resistance and reduces material build-up.
