Advantage Batavia hosted a Night at the Races at Ransomville Speedway. This event brought together our top installers for an evening at the track, where we enjoyed dinner at the speedway’s food pavilion along with several of our employees.

We were also joined by vendor partners including WIX, Bosch, and Gates, along with additional support from vendors such as STD and Deka, who helped make the night special by providing trinkets and giveaways for our installers.

After dinner, we spent the rest of the evening in the VIP towers watching the dirt races. It was a great opportunity to connect, share stories, and strengthen relationships with our installers in a relaxed setting. There were plenty of laughs throughout the night. Victory lane presentations were even done by our staff and included participation from the installers, which made the experience even more memorable.

There is also a 4x8 Auto Value banner displayed at the entrance to the grandstand area for the entire season, along with an Auto Value commercial that runs several times throughout each event. This helped increase our exposure to the retail spectators in attendance.

All in all, it was a great night. The installers had a fantastic time and are already asking when we can do it again! We’re hoping to make it even bigger and better for 2027!

For the finale of our 2026 Hahn Kickoff, last Wednesday and Thursday we had our vendor shows in Farmington Maine and Waterville Maine.

We had 31 tables with vendor product at both shows and our customers showed up to meet them all. We had several new vendors there (Perfect Stop Rotors, CEC Lightning, BBP brake hardware, NGK) and I know a lot of customers and employees stopped to talk with them. Several customers thanked our efforts and that they appreciate that we still do these for them.

We had awesome turn outs at both locations, and we even ran out of food at Waterville! Farmington came in at 74 total people in attendance and Waterville had our biggest turn out with 101 total people there.

We really appreciate all the employees who showed up to support the vendors and stayed for dinner with customers. Events like this really build customer relationships and there were a lot of laughs had around the room. Melissa said it at each show, “Our employees are THE BEST around and I am fortunate to be able to work with them every day!”

These events are a true TEAM effort, and Melissa wants to make sure she especially thanked a few that really helped before, during, and after the shows:

"Payton, Peter Beane, Russell (and son Jackson) for coming over early to Farmington and hauling all the boxes around in that awful heat! Scott and Kevin from Livermore Falls for making sure all the customers were talked to and happy. Nick and Tim from the Waterville store for helping get everything loaded in and out so I did not have to in Waterville. James and Stubs from Skowhegan for making sure the customers were laughing and I was not losing my mind. Rob, Kevin, and Chris from Augusta for making the journey and heckling me when I needed a laugh during the presentation.
Jay and Anson from Madison – Jay smiled more than once and Anson learned quickly just how a dysfunctional work family is fun!
Peter Early who took time out of his vacation to come help man the registration booth in Waterville. You had everyone laughing and I appreciate all the organization you brought to set up. Rod Moody who allowed me to embarrass him by signing Happy Birthday. I know you hated every minute but the customers INSISTED I do it and you know that old saying….what the customer wants…they get
Rick Sanborn and Craig Badeau…..without you two none of these shows would run as smooth. You guys are always the first to ask if I need help and you are always the last to leave with me. Without ALL our store teams none of these shows could be successful. Please pass along my thanks to all your team members who helped spread the word about the event and get people in the seats. "

Thank you to everyone for your participation and making these kickoffs so memorable! Until next year!

Congratulations to Jeff Buergelin, our High Five Employee Spotlight Award Winner, for April!

Jeff works at Speedway Auto Parts in our Noblesville, Indiana location

Store manager Larry Hunsberger nominated Jeff. This is what he had to say in his nomination:

“Jeff always shows up on time and has never been late. Jeff will work on his day off to cover, or will work over if needed. When he first started with us he cut his thumb off and he still showed up next day for work and worked through the pain. He has never missed a day of work, even this winter during a bad snow storm as the only employee to show up. Jeff truly goes above and beyond the call of duty. He will see a ticket on this printer and will pull and deliver it.”

Jeff has been at Speedway Auto Parts for 2 years.

Thank you, Jeff, for your hard work and dedication!

WITH THE REPAIR ACT ADVANCING THIS WEEK, YOUR ACTION CAN MAKE THE DIFFERENCE!

Take a minute to support Right to Repair 👇
👉 Send a quick letter: repairact.com

Quick heads up on something that matters to all of us…

The Right to Repair Act would make sure car owners and independent shops (like the ones in our community) have access to the tools, data, and parts needed to fix today’s vehicles—not just dealerships.

Why we care:
• Keeps repairs more affordable
• Gives you choice on where to go
• Supports local shops and small businesses
• Keeps things fair across the industry

💬 This only works if people speak up. When lawmakers hear from real folks—customers, employees, local businesses—it does make a difference.

If you’ve got a minute, send that letter ↑ and feel free to share or tag someone who’d want to support too.

Thanks for being such a strong community

Congratulations to James Edgerly, our High Five Employee Spotlight Award Winner, for March!

James works at the Motor Supply location in Skowhegan, Maine.

Melissa Howard nominated James for the award this month. This is what she had to say about James:

“A customer recently went out of their way to call the Carparts Warehouse so they could tell us that James does an excellent job. They let us know how much they trust James to always make sure the paint mixes are perfect and he wanted to make sure we knew how valuable that is to his business. It is not often a customer goes out of their way to find a phone number and call just to tell us how great James is. In my opinion that is what the High-five award is all about! James has worked for Motor Supply Skowhegan for many years and is always willing to help. When one location was shorthanded, James filled in that location with no complaints or expectations in return. He is a wonderful team player.”

James has been dedicated to the Motor Supply division of Hahn Automotive for 16 years!

Thank you, James, for your hard work and dedication!

Don't forget to keep those nominations coming! It's an honor to be able to celebrate our hard working team members each month.

Our kick-off meeting tour continued to North Carolina last week with three nights of service-center-focused meetings in Jacksonville, Goldsboro, and Sanford. This new, smaller regional meeting format proved to be a success in all three locations. Customers welcomed the opportunity to have more in-depth conversations with our vendor partners, while also receiving a refresher on the many benefits of our service center programs. Based on the strong engagement and positive feedback, we’re already looking forward to expanding these events next year.

Last week’s Hahn Kick-Off meeting tour took us to locations out of our UCI Midwest region. This 3-day tour consisted of 3 shows in Charleston, West Virginia, Lexington, Kentucky and Knoxville, Tennessee. The customers in these regions are heavily independent parts stores with many that also run a repair shop as well. These customers sometimes travel hours to come in for these shows as many are in rural areas. Each night was filled with great conversation with our channel partners, building relationships with our loyal customers and gaining knowledge of our leading Auto Value marketing program. The banana pudding is always a great way to end a successful week of meetings!
