Congratulations to Corrin Kelsey - the High Five Employee Spotlight Award Winner for July!

Corrin works at our Nu-Way Auto Parts store in Henrietta, NY

Store manager Jill Banker nominated her for the award. This is what she had to say:

"Corrin is one of the hardest working employees in my store. She started as a driver and has moved up to Dispatcher. As a driver she was loved by our customers. She always went above and beyond asking the customers if everything was ok, if there was anything more that we could do for them or making sure returns were always picked up. She is also well-liked by the warehouse staff and other locations which gave her an advantage now that she is my dispatcher. If you ask any of my drivers, they'll say she is amazing. She does her best to make sure the parts get out in a timely manner, making sure we are delivering in the most productive route. Corrin will work open to close and will even take the occasional delivery on the way home just to help that customer out. Corrin has started answering phone calls and is really improving her ability to look up parts. She has the potential to be a future store manager! Recently I had back surgery and she really stepped up to help me and make sure I wasn't overdoing it. From the customers, coworkers, salesmen, or other company employees... I think the general consensus is .... to know her is to love her. "

Corrin has worked for Nu-Way for about 3 ½ years.

Monroe County Head Bus Mechanics Conference Recap!

More than 150 transportation professionals and 12 vendors came together for another successful Monroe County Head Bus Mechanics Conference. The annual event brings together bus mechanics and transportation staff from school districts across the region for a full day of technical training, networking, and discussions with industry vendors and manufacturers. It was also great to see head mechanics in attendance from across the region, including Red Creek and Penn Yan.

Nu-Way Auto Parts was proud to participate, bringing several of our top manufacturer representatives to share their expertise and connect with attendees throughout the day. Vendors in attendance represented a wide range of products and services, including three bus manufacturers, as well as heavy-duty brake, oil, and vehicle lift manufacturers.

Vendors kept everyone fueled throughout the day with breakfast, lunch, and refreshments, while attendees had the opportunity to learn about the latest products, technologies, and equipment available to the transportation industry.

One of our longtime customers, Son Shine Auto in Noblesville, IN, was hit hard by the recent flooding. The owner was able to move most of the vehicles off the lot before emergency personnel required everyone to evacuate, but several vehicles remained as the floodwaters rose quickly. The flooding also caused significant damage to the building.

Son Shine Auto has been a valued Auto Value CSC customer out of our Noblesville Speedway store for many years, and right now they could use our support.

Customer appreciation events continued across our New York regions with two successful annual golf outings.

In July, the Auto Value stores welcomed over 80 customers and vendor partners to Victor Hills Golf Club for a day of networking, friendly competition, and fun on the course.

Last week, our Nu-Way Auto Parts division hosted its annual tournament at Shadow Lake Golf Course, where more than 100 golfers competed for prizes and bragging rights.

Both outings managed to dodge the rain, creating perfect conditions for a memorable day of golf that concluded with group dinners, prize giveaways, and plenty of camaraderie.

These events would not be possible without the outstanding support of our channel partners. Their continued partnership helps us provide our customers with an opportunity to step away from their daily routines, connect with industry peers, and enjoy a day filled with sunshine, laughter, and great memories.

Hahn hosts several customer events throughout the summer, and at the end of June, our UCI Midwest group held its 30th Annual Lake Erie Fishing Trip.

Fourteen boats headed out on Lake Erie for a great day of walleye fishing. Approximately 84 customers, manufacturer representatives, and UCI Midwest team members enjoyed a day on the water, reeling in fish, sharing stories, and making memories.

After the day’s catch was brought in, the fish were cleaned, cooked, and served as a delicious dinner for everyone to enjoy.

Thirty years later, this event continues to be a summer tradition that everyone looks forward to each year.

Based in Bean Station, TN, Grainger Automotive is a family business that has been serving their community since 2010, and it's great to see their hard work getting some well-deserved recognition. Congratulations to Kevin Swallow - the High Five Employee Spotlight Award Winner for June!

This is Kevin's SECOND time receiving the High-Five award!
Kevin is the store manager at our Genuine Auto Parts location on Franklin St. in Dayton, OH

District Manager Brian Aveyard nominated Kevin for the award. This is what he had to say:

"Kevin recently went to Toledo and spent 3 days to help move a store to a new location. It was the hottest weather so far this summer - 110 degrees, and he volunteered to go back the following week! Kevin will help anyone at any store without complaint; he is incredibly hard working. He continues to grow his location in sales, while at the same time he helps his fellow local store managers in the area. We would be lost without Kevin and he deserves to be recognized for his efforts!"

Kevin has been in the auto parts business for over 25 years and with Hahn for 10.
