2016 Ford Explorer 91k miles came in for a simple driveline shudder and coolant leak. My God I did not expect this! So now he needs a PTU that exploded, passenger CV shaft and a rear driveshaft PLUS after a short drive the Active Torque Coupling in the rear differential was smoking hot! We are looking at $7k plus for all of this and that’s IF the transmission is ok, SMH….. EDSSAAGFORDF-SERIES

Typical Ford 5,0L Coyote leaking coolant everywhere. They are such rot boxes compared to other Ford engines. This one got hot big time 255+ degrees when it finally set an overheat code. Surprisingly the engine ran just fine no damage at all. I guess the Ford overheat temp protection system works pretty well…. EDSSAAGFORDF-SERIES

This Ford 2nd gen 3.5L EcoBoost was so hacked up by the dealer techs! There were missing bolts, chewed up bolt heads all over inside and out, everything overtightened big time and yes they even super gooped the oil pump solenoid connector back on! Now as many of you know the retainers on this connector are brittle and easy to break even if you carefully pull the timing cover off straight. No problem it happens, so every one of these engines that comes in broken or not gets secure the oil pump bracket with a zip tie. Nice clean and secure connection that will never be a problem again. Honestly it is not that hard to do things right…. EDSSAAGFORDF-SERIES
