Communities don't need all the answers before they start planning. They need a process that helps them discover the right questions.
Recently, Senior Project Manager Karen Prescott participated in a community design charrette in Exeter, NH, convened by PlanNH (Plan NH) which brought together planners, designers, engineers, economic development professionals, community stakeholders, and local leaders to explore possibilities for the area surrounding the Exeter train station.
Through site walks, stakeholder conversations, public listening sessions, and collaborative working sessions, the team examined opportunities to strengthen connectivity, support economic development, improve mobility, and enhance the visitor experience. The charrette process provided a forum for bringing diverse perspectives together, helping the community identify priorities and move ideas toward actionable strategies.
At Weston & Sampson planning is about more than creating documents. It's about helping communities evaluate possibilities, align priorities, identify funding opportunities, and build a roadmap toward implementation.
