Careno Construction is proud to share the completion of a newly renovated office and support space at the Barrington Recreation Center.

This project involved a full upgrade of the existing offices, including new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, along with updated ceilings, finishes, and a reconfigured layout to better support staff operations and community programming. The result is a clean, modern, and highly functional environment ready to serve the town.

Congratulations to Port One Architects on a successful design-build collaboration, and to Stephanie Castoldi, Mike Peloso, and Jason Hueber for delivering this project on time and ready for summer use.

Careno Construction is proud to showcase progress on a 5,000 SF office fit-up at Foundry Place in downtown Portsmouth. This project will serve as the new headquarters for the City of Portsmouth Parking Division, providing a modern workplace environment for their personnel along with 11 individual office spaces.

The fit-up features:
- Bright office suites with expansive window lines overlooking downtown
- A fresh, contemporary design with efficient layouts
- A new kitchen/break area designed for daily use

We’re excited to see this space come together and to support the City of Portsmouth in creating a professional and functional headquarters for their Team.

Careno Construction was proud to join the Town of Stratham, the School District, and community members to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Stratham Memorial School project. This exciting effort will bring much-needed improvements to the school, ensuring that students and staff have a safe, modern, and inspiring environment for learning. We’re honored to serve as the Design-Builder for this project, working alongside an exceptional Team including Jobin Construction Consultants, Maugel DeStefano Architects, Emanuel Engineering and WV Engineering.
A special thank you to the Stratham community for your trust and partnership. We look forward to bringing this important project to life and can’t wait to see the impact it will have for years to come.

Careno Construction is proud to announce the completion of our latest design-build collaboration with Port One Architects — the renovation and expansion of the Albacore Museum in Portsmouth, NH. This project enhances one of the Seacoast’s most unique landmarks, the historic USS Albacore submarine site, with improvements that ensure both accessibility and visitor experience for years to come.

Project highlights include:
• Improved site accessibility with new ADA-compliant pathways, ramps, and entrances
• A new museum building featuring expanded exhibit space for artifacts, models, and interactive history displays
• Modern restroom facilities to better accommodate visitors and groups
• Upgraded parking and circulation to improve traffic flow for both pedestrians and vehicles

The new space welcomes guests with a “Welcome Aboard” theme, expanded exhibits showcasing submarine history, maritime models, naval artifacts, and a stronger visitor connection to the USS Albacore herself, proudly on display outside.

Careno Construction is excited to share a sneak peek of our progress on The Friendly Toast in Concord, NH. We’re in the final stages of bringing this vibrant and unique restaurant to life! From the retro-inspired booths and colorful seating to the fully equipped state-of-the-art kitchen, every detail has been carefully crafted to reflect the fun and eclectic personality that The Friendly Toast is known for.

Our Team has been hard at work:
• Installing seating and booths that create a true diner-style experience.
• Completing the bar area with finishes and lighting.
• Finalizing the kitchen setup to ensure this space is ready for service.
• Managing the finishing touches as we move toward opening day.

We’re proud to partner with The Friendly Toast on another exciting project and can’t wait to see this space buzzing with guests soon!

Careno Construction is proud to announce we’ve been awarded the Design and Construction of the Stratham Memorial School project!
This exciting $11.7 million project includes a wide range of capital improvements—from a new Special Services Wing and Cafeteria Expansion to fire code upgrades, ADA compliance enhancements, HVAC and electrical modernization, and full roof replacement. Construction is scheduled to begin in two weeks and continue through 2026.
We’re honored to partner with the Town of Stratham on this important investment in the future of education.
