We are a professional land surveying company located in the Newington, New Hampshire seacoast area serving New Hampshire and Maine. Established in 1990 to provide surveying services to residential, commercial and industrial clients as well as municipalities, utility companies and other professionals. We have the complete records and files of John W. Durgin going back to 1908 along with the records

and files of Durgin-Schofield Associates. We also have records and plans of Edward M. Smith going back to 1888. We are members of the following professional organizations:

New Hampshire Land Surveyors Association (NHLSA). Maine Society of Land Surveyors (MSLS)
National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS)

James Verra & Associates, Inc. is proud to be the first surveying firm in New Hampshire and Maine to deploy both wearable and handheld mobile LiDAR scanning technology from NavVis.

This advanced, German-engineered and built reality-capture technology allows us to efficiently collect survey-grade 3D point clouds inside and outside of structures—supporting civil engineering, architectural design, structural analysis, and municipal projects with faster, safer, and more complete existing-conditions data.

By integrating mobile LiDAR with conventional survey control and professional judgment, we’re delivering better data, fewer assumptions, and improved coordination across project teams.

📢 Exciting News – We're Moving!
We’re thrilled to announce that our Survey Office is relocating to a new space! Beginning soon, you can find us at:

To accommodate the move, our Newington office will be closed on July 10 & 11. During this time, our Candia location will remain open and available to assist our clients.

As part of the transition, we’ll also be updating our phone systems. We appreciate your patience during this exciting time and look forward to continuing to serve you from our new Portsmouth location!

We are licensed in Maine and New Hampshire, while we focus in the seacoast area, we work all over Maine, and New Hampshire. We work with many engineering firms and can help you out with any project.
