We're proud to see the New Palafox officially open and honored to have served as the engineer for this important downtown Pensacola project.

For nearly 99 years, dhg, formally Baskerville-Donovan, has helped build and improve the infrastructure that supports our communities. The New Palafox combines critical stormwater improvements with enhanced walkability, accessibility, and public spaces that will benefit residents, visitors, and local businesses for years to come.

We are proud to see the New Palafox officially opened and honored to have served as the engineer for this transformational project.

For nearly 99 years, dhg (formally Baskerville-Donovan) has had the privilege of helping shape the infrastructure that supports our communities. Being selected by the City of Pensacola for a project on one of the city's most recognizable streets was both a responsibility and an opportunity that our team embraced.

While the project included significant underground stormwater improvements, its impact extends far beyond infrastructure. The wider sidewalks, improved pedestrian access, enhanced streetscape, and upgraded public spaces create a more welcoming environment for residents, visitors, businesses, and future generations who will enjoy downtown Pensacola.

We congratulate the City of Pensacola on this milestone and thank the many business owners, stakeholders, contractors, and community members who helped make this vision a reality. We are grateful to have played a role in a project that will benefit our community for years to come.

We are so excited to kick off the summer with three incredible additions joining us from across the region!

Sky Anderson will be working with our Water Resources Department out of the Pensacola office, Scout Harr will be working out of our Panama City office, and Timothy Hornsby will be working with our Federal Team from our Mobile office!

These three talented students represent the future of our industry, and we are thrilled to have them on board for the summer!

We’re excited to welcome Geoffrey Fischer to the team as our new IT Compliance Support Technician in our Pensacola office! 🎉

Originally from North Carolina, Geoffrey has called Pensacola home for the past 13 years. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in History with a minor in Anthropology from the University of West Florida and is currently continuing his studies in IT and Cybersecurity at George Stone Technical College.
Outside of work, Geoffrey enjoys video games, Dungeons & Dragons, and other tabletop games.

There’s something especially rewarding about seeing interns grow into full-time team members.

Over the past few months, we’ve had the opportunity to hire two former interns, Allie Anderson and Whit Whitacker, into full-time roles after graduation, and it’s been exciting to watch them continue growing with our team!

Both came in eager to learn, brought great attitudes to the team, and consistently showed initiative and strong collaboration skills throughout their internships. Seeing that growth translate into full-time roles is exactly why investing in young professionals matters.

We’re lucky to have them on the team and excited to see what’s ahead for them!
