We’re helping this soybean co-op crush it! The versatile soybean has many uses, from food to fuel to everyday products. Nearly all soybeans are processed at crush plants, and we were pleased to provide seven multi-purpose hopper silos to assist at this new processing facility in Nebraska. The silo capacities range from 160 to 586 tons, storing pellets, seeds, ground hulls, and off-spec products. This new plant will increase the amount of soybeans crushed in the state by over 50 million bushels per year. That’s about 30 railcars of soybeans daily! The processed soybeans will serve as livestock feed, be shipped to international markets, and be used in renewable diesel production.
