🎟️ OFF TO OREGON 🎟️

On Saturday, Angelina Napoleon arrived at the UK Track & Field Complex with the goal of qualifying for her third-straight NCAA Division I Outdoor Championships.
Mission accomplished!

Like last year, Napoleon WON her heat, and this time placed FOURTH overall in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:43.40 at the NCAA East Regional at the University of Kentucky.
In doing so, the N.C. State junior successfully punched her ticket to Nationals, set for June 10-13 in Eugene, Oregon! Napoleon will now look to reach the NCAA podium for the second-straight summer after finishing third last season!

Next up ⬆️😤

After earning silver in the 3000-meter steeplechase at the ACC Championships on May 15, Angelina Napoleon will return to action this weekend at the NCAA East Regional at the University of Kentucky in Lexington.
The North Carolina State junior is scheduled to compete in the steeplechase on Saturday at 5:40 p.m. EST (streamed live on ESPN+).
Her goal: To qualify for her third-straight NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships (the top three finishers in each of three heats, plus the three next-best times advance, with 12 athletes ultimately coming from both the East and West to comprise the 24-woman NCAA field) 🏃‍♀️🙌

In 2025, Napoleon won her heat and placed second overall at Regionals to advance.
This year, the Allegany native enters Regionals ranked No. 3 in the East in the steeplechase (SB time of 9:37.72), behind only Alabama’s Doris Lemngole (9:18.66) and Notre Dame’s Sophie Novak (9:24.95), and No. 4 among all Division I runners! And she’s certainly eager to get back to Oregon again this season!

Space Tech is the premier West Coast event for space technology, manufacturing and engineering. It connects industry leaders with innovations in satellites, launch vehicles and components for commercial, civil and military sectors.

Space Tech is a major event for us, as we’re heavily involved in each of those areas. This marks a tremendous opportunity to further reinforce our place as a premier custom bearing manufacturer for the aerospace industry 🔵⚪️

to an inspiring day at NES ⬅️ ✨

Last month, we welcomed over two dozen Alfred State engineering students for one of our most meaningful and educational visitor programs to date.

NES provided lunch, a brief business overview, a facility tour and a bearing assembly activity. The highlight, however, was the presentation they received in our training room.
ALL 15 NES engineers presented, addressing everything from bearing design to inspection, testing, quality and business support. They also discussed their specific roles at NES, their career path and what compelled them to their field.

This program gave us an excellent opportunity to inform not only an enthusiastic group of engineering students about what we do, but also each other.
Just as important, we conveyed to them – despite their shared background, a mechanical engineering degree can open the door to an array of professional opportunities if you’re willing to build an educational foundation and continue learning after graduation.
Thank you, Alfred State, for helping to create such an awesome experience! 🐃🔵🟡

Southern Swing ⚜️🎉

NES remained busy this spring by heading south for back-to-back events:

🚀 Aerospace Mechanisms Symposium in Huntsville, Alabama.
🧪 The 80th STLE Annual Meeting and Exhibition in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Aerospace Mechanisms, held May 13-15 in conjunction with the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center, centers around the design, fabrication, testing and operational use of aerospace mechanisms. STLE, meanwhile, is the premier international event for the tribology and lubrication industry.

We’d like to highlight Andrew Hvizdzak (right), senior bearing engineer, for the effort he made to represent us at BOTH shows in the last week. Andrew flew to Alabama to walk the Aerospace Mechanisms floor and, from there, made the trek to New Orleans for this week’s STLE program 🙌
Thank you to Andrew and Tom Jaskolka, senior testing engineer, who joined Andrew in New Orleans over the weekend for STLE 🔵⚪️

Kaiden is a former NES intern who is now joining us in a full-time capacity. He’s also our 23rd Alfred State graduate, which now comprises 34% of our workforce.

The left-handed ace has left an indelible mark on the Allegany-Limestone softball program, highlighted by an especially strong senior season. This spring, Truman …

🟢 Guided A-L to a 14-4 record (12-3 local)
⚫️ Set the program record for career strikeouts (she now has 486 and counting!)
🟢 Helped the Gators to a share of the CCAA I league championship
And she’s not done yet!

Behind Truman, A-L clinched the No. 3 seed in the Section 6 Class B playoffs and will host No. 14 Newfane in the first round Tuesday (5/19) at 5 p.m.
