REIGN SUPREME 👑

Congrats to Angelina Napoleon and NC State, which continued their ACC cross country dynasty on Friday morning in Blacksburg, Virginia.
The Wolfpack produced five top 25 runners to win ANOTHER ACC Championship with 60 points, well ahead of second-place Clemson (113) and third-place Virginia Tech (125). It was NC State’s second-straight national title, its 10th in the last 11 years and 31st in 49 appearances at the ACC Championship‼️🏆

Ang’s teammate, Hannah Gapes, continued an incredible season and led the way with a ridiculous 6K time 18:23.8. Napoleon also had an outstanding performance, placing 14th out of 158 runners in 19:32.5 💪🏃‍♀️
With more hardware in hand, the Wolfpack will now look ahead to NCAA Regionals on Nov. 13.
Way to go, Angelina and NC State!

CHAMPIONSHIP CHASING 🏆🎯

Peyton Truman and the Allegany-Limestone girls soccer team have advanced to tomorrow’s Section 6 Class B championship game, where they’ll meet Akron at 5 p.m. at Williamsville North High School ⚽️

The Gators (16-2) have had another incredible season, winning the CCAA I league title with an 11-1 record, going 14-2 overall to earn the No. 1 seed in the sectional playoffs and defeating Eden 3-0 in Wednesday’s semifinals to reach the title game.
And Truman, the daughter of NES vice president Chris Truman, has been a key contributor as a starting senior midfielder!

Best of luck to Peyton, Coach Dale MacArthur and the Gators (and the A-L boys team, which is also playing for a Class B crown tomorrow!) as they look to bring home another sectional championship! 🐊🟢⚪️

CHAMPIONSHIP MINDSET 🏆🧠

Angelina Napoleon and the NC State cross country team will open the postseason tomorrow at the ACC Championships at the Buford Meredith Cross Country Course in Blacksburg, Va.
The women’s 6K race is scheduled for 11 a.m. and will stream live on the ACC Network (ESPN+).
Angelina and the Wolfpack are coming off a second-place finish, just four points behind BYU, at Pre-Nationals on Oct. 16, a race in which Napoleon finished 13th out of 322 runners (and third for NC State) with a 6K time of 19:41.0.
And now both will enter Friday looking to defend their conference titles! 😤

A year ago, Angelina WON the ACC individual title and set a new course RECORD with a 6K time of 19:13.9 and NC State ran away with the team crown 🏃‍♀️☝️ Tomorrow, the Wolfpack, now No. 2 in the nation, will look for a repeat performance while capturing their second-straight ACC title and their 10th championship in the last 11 years!

Kodi is a hardworking and inquisitive inspection technician who truly immerses himself in his work. He’s also a self-starter, having taught himself SolidWorks, CMM programming and how to operate our 3D printer, all on his own time.
Kodi is quietly an invaluable member of our inspection lab 🔵⚪️

NES Salute 🫡

On his 19th anniversary (to the day), a big shout-out to our grind line supervisor, Craig Cobb.

In October 2007, Cobb didn’t even know he was at a job interview when he was soon offered a machining position here. Nineteen years later, he’s one of the leaders on a plant floor that produces parts in support of rockets, national defense and other aerospace, aviation and gas turbine applications.

Thanks, Cobby, for all your hard work, dedication and guidance over nearly two decades! 👊🔵⚪️

While National Manufacturing Day is recognized annually on the first Friday of October, the initiative extends across the entire month as National Manufacturing Month 🛠️⚙️
And in recognition, we have plenty of festivities planned!

First up, a visit from two student groups at Salamanca Central School.
We’re excited to welcome Salamanca for facility tours throughout the day today! We have a great presentation planned and look forward to sharing some of the cool things happening in the local manufacturing sector, especially right here at NES! 🔵⚪️
