Do you want to do something different? So did we, SM1 was built off the ideal of thinking outside the box. We wanted karts that you could not get made out of the absolutely best materials and components that could be sourced. So what did we do we combined well over 60 years of racing experience and we built the SM1 chassis, 3 versions to be exact. A race mower that has been tested and proven with multiple 1st place finishes, an outlaw wing kart that has been tested and proven with so many wins now that I don’t know what the number is ! And now flat kart that is still being tested and proven. All 3 won there very first races. SM1 stands for Smoke and Mirrors when I dreamed this ideal up I was told by numerous individuals that I couldn’t do it🤷‍♂️ well those who know me know that you don’t tell me no because I will prove you wrong. I told em it’s all smoke and mirrors anyways you can win on an ironing board if you got the right team and recipe, thus the name was born ! But seriously you want to know the smoke and mirrors difference ? It’s dedication, the right team, experience, better materials, better parts, and customer service, you see here at SM1 we don’t forget about you after you buy the kart and we have your money 😊we want you to Win ! And we will help you anyway we can !

What a great ending to the 2026 season for Jonathan Setzer’s SM-1 team. Winning the 2026 Wednesday Night Intermediate Championship at Millbridge Speedway is no easy task. It was also great to watch this father and son combination of Maddox and LJ McCleary work towards this goal. We also want to thank Lonnie Eby for his outstanding support with the Honda CRF 250 engine program. Last I’d like to thank this team for letting MR be part of a great season at one of the toughest tracks in the country !! 🇺🇸🏁
