Development Facilitators, Inc. (DFI) is a multi-disciplined consulting engineering firm in Maryland.

In 1978, Raymond Streib, PE, founded Development Facilitators, Inc. (DFI) following requests from a group of private developers in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, looking for a civil engineering firm capable of providing top quality project management and inspection services to facilitate their site development projects. DFI quickly expanded its services to include:

■ inspection
■ civil and structural design
■ project planning and design
■ environmental analysis
■ geotechnical
■ surveying
■ traffic engineering. DFI's full-time staff of over 100 professionals include land planners, landscape architects, civil engineers, structural engineers, construction managers and inspectors, soils and material inspection technicians, surveyors, and traffic and transportation personnel. DFI Project Spotlight:
Charles County is constructing a new Animal Care Center in Waldorf to replace its existing facility, which has served the community for more than 60 years. The approximately 22,000-square-foot center will expand the County’s capacity to shelter and care for stray, sick, injured, and unwanted animals while providing improved spaces for adoption, veterinary services, community education, and Animal Control operations.
DFI is providing construction inspection and documentation services for the project.
Through careful field observation and detailed documentation, DFI is helping Charles County deliver a safe, durable, and functional facility that will strengthen animal care services and serve residents, staff, volunteers, and animals for years to come.
